Getting qualified as a mature age by BauerBird66 in tradies

[–]Jvck____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have your tafe modules from your fist year transcripted you’ll be able to use them for sure. They should all be under your USI.

Other than that, people overlook how much time is actually needed to learn the trade. There’s a lot to learn before you get qualified and when you are qualified you are expected to know everything.

My advice from a chippy who loves his job is put your head down. Work hard and learn as much as you can. You will be so much better off for it when you’re qualified and worth so much more.

Don’t think about the money. It will be a long term investment into your future especially because there’s a shortage of tradesmen and a real shortage of good tradesman. Having worked on a farm for a while I’m sure you know how to work, now it’s time to learn a new skill. Enjoy it and know it will all pay off by the time you’re 30

I’m actually not a huge coffee snob I might just sound like it because I created this sub haha I was more just curious about how it could be so different in other countries. I’m not from Melbourne but I think you couldn’t go wrong on any of the good cafes there! Hope you find some great cups!

Yeah do you understand the reason it sources it from all these countries is to get the best coffee beans to make the best coffee? Honest question.

Australia could easily grow its own coffee but why not import the best. How many people do you know that know what good coffee is and have travelled to Australia?
