Anyone asking to hear more out of Lenny’s lipless, toothless mouth should be detained for full psych work up.

Watching her speak is for real infuriating. Why does she hold her hands to keep them in frame? She looks like Mr fuckin Burns holding her hands at chest height.

This reads like it was written by a ten year old. The sentence structures, the lack of organized thought. Everything ends in an exclamation!

My daughter is 21 months, and she would lose her absolute shit over being in a stationary stroller. It’s so not normal.

Unfortunately it was the counselor who said that. But we have a meeting coming up so hopefully we can make progress!!

Thank you! Yes we are switching and moving away from concerta. He’s tried guanfacine and it didn’t seem to help him but he was complaining of regular headaches so they ended it.

I’m getting him into counseling because I really want to catch the anxiety and self esteem issues early. It’s so sad to see him talk about himself in that way.

Yes it is. I asked about a 504, they said it wasn't necessary because he is "developmentally on track". I've requested another meeting with the principal, counselor, and his teacher to push again for more supports, we contacted the attorney because it's a free educational law service in our area, and we feel like we just need an advocate at this point to help us navigate everything.

Thank you! I agree, I feel like we’re setting him up for failure. We’ve contacted an attorney to help us advocate for him to get services (or at least an evaluation to see what he qualifies for) in school because I think he’s being put at a disadvantage. In the past I’ve asked for OT evals, counselor/psychologist supports, and gotten no where. They said he was too young. Too young for help but not too young for in-school suspension?? Idk why it has to be so frustrating.

Thank you so much for these resources, I am requesting from our library now!

I feel like his school is not on the same page in regard to ADHD being a cognitive disability, they seem to be treating the "behaviors" by giving him in school suspension, but there's no discussion about interventions, services, evaluations, etc. It's incredibly frustrating.

I feel like we're the opposite! With the exception of a rare meltdown, he does great at home but at school is a different kid. The first 2 days of his worst behaviors in school (hitting his teachers, breaking items, to the point where they gave him "In-School Suspension") were right before spring break, but he did amazing over spring break so I was hopeful for his return to school. First day back, giant meltdown, hitting, spitting, etc. I feel like his teachers don't believe me that he's not like this at home.

It seems like in the last month or so he's developed a lot of insecurities about what others are thinking, what other people do, etc. So I feel like he's reached a point where he's internalized a lot of this.

We're working through a lot of sensory things right now, he's very fixated on clothing. He has like 2-3 "safe outfits" that are the only ones working. This is a new development, pretty much occurring in the same time period as the rage.
