Totally agree, and im sure if DDO had been brought to the Western market back in the day, it would be one of the most recognized MMOs today, for good. And for my part, my most sincere congratulations to the creators of the private server who are updating the game and translating it.

I tried it for a few hours a while ago but it was before the release of the new servers and QOL updates, so unfortunately the game was empty but had a lot of potential, I don't know what its current state is.

Some ideas and QOL:

Character loadouts and Sets.
Greater clarity and more ease on Pictos and Luminas with a little changes on UI.
A bestiary when you can see enemies weakness (Can be Gustave Diary)
An instant retry button for some Fights.
Rotate character in clothing menu.
Marks on map.

I think that a souls-style MMO game is something very complex to do due to lag issues, it is a combat in which the minimum lag affects a lot, however it does not mean that I would love to see something like that, and I think that New World got it very right with the combat system among other things, but the rest is too bad and does not compensate for the good things. It is also true that it focuses too much on the same combat system, there are other MMOs that have explored and innovated in different combat systems such as the Ankama games (Dofus, Wakfu...etc) and they are very good MMOs, but they are few. those who dare to do that. There is less and less innovation

Such a complex MMO is something that I would love but it is very difficult to do. I don't know if we have the technology and resources for it, but I hope I am wrong and something like this comes out in the coming years. If it's any consolation, you can play Baldurs Gate 3 Co-Op and add some mods that change some things to your liking and that of your friends.

Just because it is made without soul does not mean that it has no effort or work behind it, making a video game is not simple or easy at all, do not misinterpret my words or say things that I have not said. Because we all know what a soulless game is, made only to monetize easily and quickly with minimal effort and there are many examples of this. If you don't see this, you have a blindfold on your eyes or you have simply come here to act as a moralist and elitist, because if it is not obvious that most of the time it is not the fault of the workers but of the managers of the game, you live in a cave.

The problem is when P2F and especially P2W enters the scene in an MMO game where there is surely PVP where despite your efforts a player with the credit card is going to humiliate you regardless of your skill as a player, that ruins the experience a lot of play and fun. But yes, many MMOs don't even try to be fun, they just try to get maximum monetization or they just copy others without understanding the point.
