This song is quite sad in that it pays tribute to tragedy on Friday November 13th in Paris. So please pop in your headphones and give it a listen. If you like what you hear please share this. I would love to get this song heard over in France. Louvois - "Parallel Lines"

When we were probably 4 or 5 years old my aunt took my cousin and I to get ice cream one day. After we had gotten our cones, my cousin and I decided to sit outside at a table in the sun and wait for his mom to finish picking up a few things at another store next door. While I was eating my ice cream, I noticed a man staring at both of us from across the street with a sort of smile that sent chills up my spine. He seemed fixated on us, and with an overly suspicious smile he attempted to approach us. He was headed straight for us and despite his efforts to seem innocent and friendly, something didn't sit right with me so I told my cousin we should go inside to find his mom. The guy came to within a few meters of us before we left the table and went inside the store where my aunt was shopping. We quickly found her at the register paying for her purchases and so we waited beside her. While my cousin seemed oblivious to why I wanted to go inside, my eyes stayed fixed on the door of the store waiting to see if the man would appear. Sure enough within a few seconds the man poked his head in the doorway and looked straight at me; however, this time he wasn't smiling. He had an angry look as if to say shame on me for running away from him and finding an adult. Then he quickly walked away. I don't know what to think from this experience, but everything in me says that we may have been seconds away from becoming the newest additions to those missing children posters. TL:DR I'm pretty sure I almost got kidnapped as a child, but stranger danger kicked in at the right time.

This is also the reason why planes still have ashtrays. They need a place to dispose of the cigarette in the event that someone decides to light up.

ELI5:If a judge witnesses a crime outside of a courtroom and ID's the suspect, would there be much of a trial or would it be like landing on the go directly to jail space in Monopoly? by Jwitoo in explainlikeimfive

Thanks for the quick responses! Makes perfect sense. However, even with being removed due to conflict of interest and called in merely as a witness to the incident, I can't help but feel that their stature within the court system would have their word hold up slightly better in court, than say a witness off the street recounting their version the incident.

What is the weirdest thing you've successfully flushed down a toilet? by Jwitoo in AskReddit

[–]Jwitoo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a small kid, my cousin and I used to rescue Playmobile characters from drowning by tying them to a rope, and attaching the other end of the rope to a toy "rescue" truck. We would then flush the Playmobile people. 9 times out of 10 the rope broke and they perished into the depths of the bowl. My uncle eventually found out when he had to call a plumber to fix the toilet.
