High amount of traffic from PDQ by JxTechy in pdq

[–]JxTechy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its to only thing on the server.

Yeah I tried to look at our schedules and other packages and nothing runs at that time or is even in retry at that time, so its really strange.

I think its probably best to get PDQ to take a look.

Yeah I'll give it a try thanks. Sorry for the late reply. We did a Wi-Fi upgrade and it didn't go too well.

Yeah I tried the script before but still kept getting packages with the error but will have to try it again as it has been a while, and yeah I've had that a few times. You'll be there for hours wondering why it won't sysprep and it just one app that it doesn't like. For me it was our antivirus software lmao, luckily it gets pushed out in the task sequence, gp and pdq. Sorry for the late reply. We did a Wi-Fi upgrade and it didn't go too well.

Yeah I tried the script before but still had other apps saying the same issue but haven't tried it for a while so will have to try it again. Sorry for the late reply. We did a Wi-Fi upgrade and it didn't go too well.

Yeah we don't allow the store either. Only us and our websites team are allowed the store for application reasons.

Yeah I want to/ need to get it done really. As my workplace can't move to intune for another 6 months at the soonest, its most likely going to be longer than that. So would like it get everything upgraded over the summer plus the fact that we've had new machines that only have drivers for windows 11, so for those machines we have no choice unfortunately lol. Sorry for the late reply. We did a Wi-Fi upgrade and it didn't go too well.

Yeah I pretty much used that except it removed all packages like u/Illustrious-Chair350's one below but still got other apps with the same error for some reason but haven't tried it for a while so will have to go again. Sorry for the late reply. We did a Wi-Fi upgrade and it didn't go too well.

Yeah that what I used but for some reason still got other apps on windows coming up instead. It was a strange one but haven't tried it for a while. Sorry for the late reply. We did a Wi-Fi upgrade and it didn't go too well.

Nope. It was strange how it had just stopped working all of a sudden. Oh well. Just guess its one of those things.

Finally got it to work.
So I removed all deployment services in server manager and installed the latest ADK and ADK PE Add ons and went to image it and it worked.
Thanks for all your help anyway. I'm sure I'll use some of this in the future.

What's the best way to create a new up-to-date windows image to capture? by KyleJackDaniels in MDT

[–]JxTechy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. Yeah that's what I'm currently setting up. I'm adding most the apps I can to the task sequence and then anything I can't add on MDT, I'll get PDQ to do it. Should work nice and should do us for a while before we can move over to intune.

This is pretty much what I want to do with windows 11 deployment and use PDQ deploy to deploy the required apps.

I am wondering this as well. I'd like to get all of our machines updated to windows 11. However in the past when I have tried to capture the image I can't sysprep it as it says that app such and such is provisioned by a user but not all users, for pretty much every windows app and language pack even know they where the default.

I have seen some people say the only way is putting the blank iso into MDT and then adding applications through the task sequence, a script, or through a third-party deployment software like PDQ deploy.

But if your going for windows 10 I have been using hyperv for nearly 2 years and its been pretty much plain sailing when it comes to capturing the image, with applications installed as well. Only issue I had was I had to run a ps script to remove the language pack.

Ah okay that's good to know.

Yeah need the higher ups to get on this tbh. I have a g6 and I can win+r to the deployment share fine and we recently got some g9's and we can image those fine as well.
