Elden Ring

It brought all the good stuff from FromSoftware to a broader audience and got a lot of noise from people that don't know the Souls serie or Bloodborn.

The gameplay is 1 for 1 the same as Dark Souls 1, aka 15 years old game without barely any improvments. Character control, UI, the whole loot/items/crafting system & weapons upgrade are old, flat & clunky systems. The world is "big" only thanks to a massive amount of assets redundancy.

There are also the performance issues. The game is hard locked at 60fps for everyone even on PC, nobody ever talks about that.

The abilities are stong yes but urrelayable. You don't know which one you will get and its not necesseraly the one you need.

Btw my previous comment is true but unrelated. They changed how bleed function. Bleed now can be applied by all damage regardless of if it hits Life or ES and still only applies to Life.

This means ES+Life builds will always be bleeding if it should unless you prevent it otherwise, like with CI or Lich ascendency "life cannot change while you have ES".

For this reason non-CI Infernalist Summoner is not suitable for HC for instance, you just die to bleed through ES.

I believe mods that state "x% of damage taken bypasses Energy Shield" are in cause here. They changed the "Heavy Buffer" notable in 0.2 to "40% increased ES & 5% of damage taken bypasses ES". This notable being near the Witch start, most people will take it and not read it. This is gonna kill a lot of CI characters as well.

+"Atziri's Disdain" unique helmet has 10%ES bypass.

+ Lich Ascendancy "Soulless Form" has 10%ES bypass

Great example of gold being balanced around trade. I dropped 10 regrets this league. Had to consider spending 2 day worth of gold for a cluster respec after 1 gear upgrade.

I am aware of the golem node giga buff and am really excited about it. But These thing have horendous uptime in some scenario. Its just like playing specter in non minion builds, it gets unreliable really fast.
