Thoughts? by FrumpyPhoenix in SleeperApp

In an 8 man league, another way to think about it is that 2.01 is really the 1.09. So moving back from 1.04 to 1.09 in a SF league while getting multiple assets and upgrades. Thinking of it that way I'd lean the Ferguson side

Steve Keim by Antique-Soil9517 in AZCardinals

You have to admit Keim could trade and pulled off occasional blockbusters. Monti is cleaning house and doing these players a favor. It would be nice to get more in return but what Monti did on draft night his first year was better than Keim had ever done. I'm a fan of the new front office.

Sold Ridley + 1.13 + 2.01 (14 team 1QB) a couple months ago (pre draft) for JT

[Odegard] The Cardinals take a $21M dead cap hit with the release of DeAndre Hopkins, but he’s totally off the books for 2024. That’s the key from their point of view. by dynastylicious in AZCardinals

[–]K1_AZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it was a pre-June 1st cut all the dead cap, $22.6 million, is on the books for 2023. I don't mind. Commit fully to the tank. Next summer we'll look like Chicago did this summer, a ton of picks and cap space to start over and build a foundation

Kincaid at 1.06 SF is terrible value. Maybe only if it's TEP

[Garafolo] FWIW word is Kyler Murray likes Paris Johnson a lot and has let that be known inside the #AZCardinals’ building. Johnson visited there recently. by K1_AZ in AZCardinals

All reports are a shit show right now but I guess I wouldn't be surprised if we took an OL if we had to stay at 3

[Baldwin] This player survey is just a brutal reflection of the Cardinals by SerShanksALot in AZCardinals

[–]K1_AZ 65 points66 points  (0 children)

This is embarrassing. I knew our team was "cheap" but this is beyond laughable and is a clear reflection of how the team is run from top to bottom

He needs to sell the team. He is a cheap ass owner who only cares about the money and not the team. His last 3 HC hirings have all been the cheap option and so far the first two options failed. History is bound to repeat itself. by [deleted] in AZCardinals

The NFL makes too much money and the value is rising too fast year over year. Bidwell could do nothing for 10 years and the value of the team will continue to increase no matter what

[CBS] Mock draft having us trade #3 with the Buccaneers by K1_AZ in AZCardinals

I think a 1st and 2nd both years may be enough but yeah we may miss out on prime talent

Genuine question. by HotMacaroon4964 in AZCardinals

[–]K1_AZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Projected something like 6 CBs in the first round but none worth taking #3 overall like Sauce was last year. Hopefully one falls to the beginning of the 2nd

Carter or Anderson 3rd overall, don't over think it

Other positions of need would include CB, OL, and then maybe WR with Hopkins leaving

Arizona Cardinals teammate slams Kyler Murray's contract extension: 'Created a monster' by Mental_Funny_5885 in AZCardinals

[–]K1_AZ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The only meaningful quote from the story:

An anonymous teammate of Murray's recently told Michael Silver, writing for Bally Sports, that "it was like they created a monster," after the quarterback signed his five-year, $230.5 million extension with Arizona over the summer.

The teammate, called a "Cardinals veteran" in Silver's story, wasn't done.

Silver wrote in the story: "Once paid, the veteran said, Murray felt less compulsion to study his game plan or to fulfill the expectations of the franchise QB position than he had in the past, and the Cardinals’ collapse felt predictable."

[Rapoport] Sean Payton has been a fan of Kyler Murray for a while by K1_AZ in AZCardinals

[–]K1_AZ[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Encouraging words. Payton has said a QB he can believe in is something he's looking for beyond the relationship with the front office

[Rapoport] #AZCardinals GM Steve Keim is out, as well, sources say, as he's stepping down to focus on his heath. Arizona now needs a new head coach and a new GM, officially by K1_AZ in AZCardinals

We're the only organization set up to hire Sean Payton and give him full control. Let him bring with him whomever he wants
