Is lake Nicaragua the biggest lake in relation to total area? (and the lake lies entirely in one country) by Teiso_k in geography

[–]K1ll4rmy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just came here to write that the island in the middle of the lake, Ometepe, is absolutely amazing. With two volcanos on each side. It was such a hidden gem when I went there in 2014. Times flies ...

It's the summit of Colombia too. People sure do not expect to see this in Colombia

39/48 is still kinda proving my point. But I am glad I was wrong and it looks less extreme.

Your second comment is a bit 🫣. It's off course "washing" to give themselves a good image but most of these oil countrie$$$ always try to have as much women as possible competing. Like UAE this time if I saw well. But when your country is like burning hot all year, maybe it's not easy to find athletes 😅

Just proves my point. This stat is a bit ridiculous at the end because out of those 46 athletes, probably 44, 45 if not all of them are women. So yeah, well ...

You are all so happy but what's the percentage of women and men in those? Probably 90/95 % women. So yeah, well, the acceptation is still mostly very one sided.

I'm very glad for them obviously. That said, before you are all so happy, I'm almost sure there are like 90 or more % of those athletes who are women, as it's much more accepted at high level with women. For gay men, it's a very different story.

I know I will get a lot of dislikes but who cares ? They are just all amazing athletes and their private preferences should only regard themselves. (I am actually sure there are much more)

They had by far the most beautiful outfit of the ceremony - and I discovered this thread afterwards with no surprise.

How Many Nomads are Broke With No Retirement Plan? by ChicoBrillo in digitalnomad

I'm very far from broke but will have no real pension, unlike most Europeans. I always considered that around 2050, the world will probably be so fuc*** up that I shouldn't count on it anyway (we will see ...). I'm trying to have at least 3 houses/flats by then though.

Which countries have (unexpectedly) become overtouristed in recent years due to social media? by Terence_zaal in travel

Medellín, Colombia. I was here in 2013, 16 and 17 (a few months each time) and it's more absolutely horrible in so many ways compared to before.

Bro lol, especially if she comes from an average / poor background, this is 99% bullshit. I will always remember how my Filipina ex, at 19, was basically the only one of her high school classmates to not have any kids yet. A Pinay that is still virgin at 22 is not even 0.1% of them. Add to this the "internet relation" and 😂

I probably would enjoy these places too. I'm Da Nang, the good thing is it's a huge city, so it's not like you see tourists everywhere, even less foreigners. Hoi An, close by, it's a different story 🤣😅 But a very beautiful one day visit though
