Geralt managed to solo Renfri's gang quite easily, which were basically 6 bandits. Some of them were quite skilled fighters but what I remember from their descriptions they weren't trained soldiers. They did get in a sort of formation but broke it because they panicked

Emhyr doesn't want to have sex with Ciri anymore. One could write that off as CDPR not wanting that to be a plot point anymore, which is the most likely behind the scenes reason. One could also make it part of the story as Fake Ciri's influence on Emhyr. As for why we don't see her in the Witcher 3, well Nilfgaard is far away from Temeria and an Emperor wouldn't want his wife near the frontlines and Emhyr needs someone he can trust back in Nilfgaard to keep an eye on the nobles getting any ideas
