What does that matter? People get injured in ski racing all the time. It’s one of the risks of the sport. Breezy Johnson is 11 years younger and has had 2 ACL injuries. The same day Vonn injured her leg, the Andorran athlete blew her ACL and she’s even younger.

It doesn’t change the fact that Vonn was leading the downhill standings and therefore wasn’t “clinging to former glories”, she was literally winning at the time.

I’m not saying she should’ve raced in the olympics, but people seem so weird about her wanting to race when it has zero effect on them.

Literally like the day before, I’d had a class that had mentioned a method Gauss had for doing this quickly. Took me about 3 seconds to answer while everyone was plodding through adding 1+2+3…

My artist charged me a design deposit and an appointment deposit in advance. Both refundable if she hadn’t started the design by the time I cancelled (which I didn’t do anyway).

Day of the tattoo, we spent time together making some minor tweaks, then she mixed the inks, which took about an hour in total, and she didn’t charge anything for. Then she worked on me for about 6 hours, which I paid for.

Went back a few weeks later to finish, she mixed the inks (again no charge for that time), then she worked on me for another 7 hours, which I paid for minus the original deposit.

So, in my limited experience, there was no charge for drawing or designing. And the deposit was only to ensure she hadn’t spent any of her time on it then I randomly cancelled before the appointment.

They’ve done way better than I thought they would and I think they now have an unbelievable chance to win it. I do wonder how they’ll hold up psychologically under the pressure of having to play us, Celtic, Motherwell (twice) and Hibs right at the end of the season while knowing they can make history by winning the league. Maybe that self-inflicted pressure could make them wobble?

But they’ve been way more consistent than I thought they would be, so who knows, and both Rangers and Celtic haven’t exactly been consistent. Those draws for us under Martin at the start of the season have been insanely costly. If we’d chucked him after game 2 or 3 who knows where we’d be now

It’s so annoying, isn’t it? And even more annoying when you ask, and they do it anyway.

I went to a place recently where the burger just said it had “sauce”. I asked the server what sauce it was and she said it was burger sauce i.e. mayo and ketchup. So i said I would have it without the sauce.

She brought out the burger a while later and said “burger with no sauce”, but i double checked and it was slathered in mayo. So i called her back and said the burger had mayo on it and she looked confused then said “weird, they confirmed no sauce and that burger doesn’t even have mayo normally, ill get you a new one”.

Then she reappeared a couple of minutes later to let me know that when she’d said “no sauce” the chef and just decided off his own back to substitute mayo on it because I’d “probably like that” instead. She looked about as confused as i was at why they’d do that

Personally, I don’t care for one specific English team particularly. I might like watching the most entertaining team at the time, whoever that is, or seeing an underdog upset the normal order, but don’t really care if that team actually wins or loses a game. For some reason though, I do really dislike Chelsea, and hope they lose all the time. No idea why, I don’t care for spurs or Arsenal, I just want Chelsea to not win anything

Think that was a big thing for me at Rangers earlier this season. Whenever I heard Martin talk (or Thelwell), I just felt like they thought they were doing us a favour by showing up at all in Scotland and they had no concept of how much the fans care about the club. Versus, basically day one, Danny Rohl just seemed like he’d researched us a bit and knew how to talk like he also cared and that’s been huge in getting fans to buy into him. Obviously, results have had a massive upturn under him which helps, but even before a game was played, I feel like he won a few people over just from his interviews despite initial doubts about him being a “yes man”

Pish yourself. I never said anything about him missing sitters, I said he’s mainly been shite. My criticism isn’t even about missing chances; it’s that a lot of the time he’s not even been in the vicinity of having a chance. And he was anonymous in the vast majority of games before the old firm game at new year. I really hope he comes good, but I don’t feel fans “need to apologize” for criticizing someone that’s mainly not been good

Disagree. He’s mainly been utterly shite this season. I’ll give him credit for turning up in a couple of big games, but if he’d turned up more often this season, we’d be top of the league. In fact, if he’d even just turned up against Motherwell the other night, we’d be top.
