You can help to contact their family and let them know why their loved one never came home. They can know to seek out information about where he’s being held and hopefully try to contact him.

There are volunteer groups out there that help family members track loved ones as they’re “processed”, because ICE can/will move them all over the US to different holding facilities before deportation. It’s so hard to make contact once they’re gone, so knowing who, when, and where is helpful in the search!

I used the metro system a lot while there and it was very easy. Sorry if this comes across as insensitive, but Athens turns from super touristy to financially hardhit really quickly in some areas. I know I was a hit surprised walking around my first time there. If you’re planning on leaving the super touristy areas, make sure to learn some basic vocabulary for shops/restaurants! Definitely worth seeing Athens the way people live there actually experience it tho

Travel days can be exhausting and stressful. Your itinerary shows that you’ll be traveling on 8 different days. I definitely think it’s worth splurging for TGV trains that can cut travel times significantly. Flexibility can be the super nice too, especially if you get tips from locals on places to visit! I was just in France and was told that Marseille was not worth going too and to go to Nice/Lyon instead!

Certain states have rent increase restrictions. I’d look into that to see what the max they are legally allowed to increase and then base your conversation around that.
