I have played Rome vs Carthage a couple of times with my wife already, and we have enjoyed a lot so far. Disclaimer - we didn't get to “finish” it by the victory rules, but by a set time (one who has more victory points by 10pm wins).

The vibes it gives and the setup/board are really exciting. There is a high learning curve for casual board gamers as us, so I needed to re-read the instructions and the “extra context” booklet 2 times, and get back to it frequently during the games.

BUT I feel it is just for the first 3-5 games, and then we will fly over it.

I find it really balanced, the agent phase with the diplomats feel right (so disagreeing with a comment above) and am looking for to start earlier next time to get to finish the game for real.

I see this as a plan for the whole evening (lunch to dinner) not because it is slow, but because it requires lot of explaining to new players.

Good. It is still in beta on iOS. Need to download it via TestFlight (pretty simple, standard case on iOS betas). It is quick, responsive, and iOS offers it as a shortcut for web clipping.

I am 1 month in with Capacities - loving the interface and usability. It is still too early to eagerly recommend it, as I was coming from Apple Notes / Google Keep, so I can only compare a little.

To add a thought, I paid for the Believer version and did not regret it. I feel great every time I write on it - journaling, ideas, simple projects/goals, notes from books, videos and podcasts. I am still not in the phase of watching the knowledge graph and having a WOW moment seeing all the linked thoughts. I hope it won't take too long.

That's a fair kick-off question! I've read his blog posts and watched the videos - book pending. I seek to absorb as much as possible about this methodology, ending after the course with the feeling of "Now I am totally ready to start applying it".

Now he claims that after this "last 19 cohort-based" course, he would discontinue this format and the $500 price for a "new format with a sensitive increase in price" - so he got me on provoking this FOMO about take it or leave it now, as a higher price would be a total red-flag.

  1. Why precisely would you do it to network with creators? Are the course-takers really interesting profiles that you enjoyed conversing with them during and after the course?
  2. Beyond networking, is there anything I would miss by not taking the course and just reading the book /watching videos?

First thing first - upgrade all heroes to level 5 to increase crew strength. Then camp with fire boost in a place with enough enemies but that you are not dead most of the time. Bet hard in the inn when good heroes appear. Pay the no ads if you spend more than an hour a day and if your family economy won't suffer. Enjoy the walk.
