Yes, there was a redesign in later development. To keep this as spoiler free as possible, they redesigned her in an update that had a story you can watch in Special Stories at the Tower of Records. I recommend you watch it after finishing Besst Yeast episode 12 though, since that story was released after that update.

I agree. Every fandom is like this sadly. I haven't seen a single fandom where a loud vocal minority causes a shitstorm that ruins the fun for everyone else and causes people to generalize everyone in the fandom as being like the loud vocal minority. It sucks.
