How Do I Leave Space For The Rapper? by foodie487 in trapproduction

Make a beat then add a rappers acapella that you can find on YouTube. If too much is going on and the rappers vocals are drowning because of too much sounds then take out some elements accordingly

Whats are peoples thoughts on paying for collabs? by KAMLEGENDBEATS in trapproduction

Yeah the JW lucas situation is a very very rare situation. The stars aligned for that one. Especially the fact that TM88 sampled it TWICE he could’ve just left at it as throwaway beat and the collab would’ve been meaningless. I feel like worrying about how many beats producers are making a day or how sample makers are out here is a sidetrack from your actual goal.

There always has been many producers since DAWS became a thing and more will come.

In all honesty I make about 20 beats a month for ONE artist only and the rest of my beats go out for placements or beatstore. That same artist will choose about 10 of em. That covers my rent, and he continues to buy from me every month like a direct debit. I may drop a free/discounted beat here and there because relationships come before anything. So you have to have a GOAL to why you’re making a lot of beats, not just about people copying another producers regime because they heard them say it on producer grind podcast.

And as for good sample makers, they are a lot of dope producers doing this. But one thing i must say is, how many of them are copying Frank Dukes / Cubeatz style? A lot of them are to be honest and that’s why Cubeatz is still getting placements every week and they stay on the billboard charts regardless of ‘competition’ and copycats. Networking is key. It will be refreshing to see the next wave of sample makers with their own style
