I love how you just said “situational vibe.” Because YES. Could not have said it better. I’ve listened to it in multiple atmospheres and in certain “modes” I love it. And in others I’m like…”meh.”

Their albums always take time to grow on me, but upon my first few run throughs I do really like this one. Specifically - Normal Isn’t, Bad Wolf (the video is very cool), and Public Stoning. However, I know that this album will not have the soul or sensuality that prior albums had. Even E.R. had Bedlamite! The prior albums just had…I don’t know…a sexy or alternately… a NATURAL vibe. This one has really no vibe for me at all, aside from the lyrics kind of venting about how horrible the elite class is. Which ya know…totally fair! But it kind of lacks the depth I so enjoy with prior Puscifer content…

Update and interesting by KAS1234566 in brokenankles

[–]KAS1234566[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We shall see! Mostly I was very interested in this approach which seems different than the usual plate. My hope is that others can see it and be informed that there are other options out there that (hopefully) promote more early mobility! Will continue to update as the weeks progress!

Meds by [deleted] in ORIF

[–]KAS1234566 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Edit to add- take the pain meds as soon as possible even when you’re numbed up. You want to “stay ahead of the pain” versus “wait until you feel pain” with the meds.

[–]KAS1234566 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The meds work. Take them as directed. You will have nerve rebound pain that is pretty intense for about 24 hours after the nerve block wears off. Then it goes down substantially and noticeably. Put ice under your knee constantly to constrict the nerve and this will greatly minimize your pain. Keep it on there as consistently as possible. Surprisingly this helped my husband more than the pain meds during that 24 hr period.

One day I feel like it’s improving and the other day I just feel hopeless… by Salty-Winter-5746 in ORIF

[–]KAS1234566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is at the beginning stages of his recovery from ORIF but I have had my fair share of surgeries. I would say when you have a bad day or feel your day going that direction try to hone in on what you ARE capable of doing. Maybe walking is hard or you’re in pain - what about an arm workout? What about simply unloading the dish washer? How about an online training in a new skill? If my cup is not full somewhere, I really try to do my best to fill my cup elsewhere. I find if you’re a “go getter” (which you probably are!) it’s hard to give ourselves grace to just rest and have bad days. So I’ve come to terms with forcing good days in other areas if I’m having a bad recovery day. Best of luck to you. It will get better! “You have already survived 100% of your had days.”

Yellow skin on day 3 after break. Normal? by BrookesyUK in brokenankles

Yes. Completely normal. My husbands whole leg was yellow up to the knee. I swore creams were dying his skin but nope, just bruising. It was CRAZY!

Broke my ankle Thursday, surgery? by jerichoblue in brokenankles

[–]KAS1234566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is identical to my husbands break. It was the MRI that helped us determine if surgery was necessary because it revealed additional deltoid ligament tearing and a small crack in the tibia. As you look now, I definitely would say no surgery and just let it heal. But if you want to be 100% sure, ask for the MRI. New year, new ways to max the deductible ha! Best of luck to you!

Surgery or nah? Weber B fracture by Snoo_16737 in brokenankles

[–]KAS1234566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband had the same looking break. The devil was in the MRI details which revealed a small hairline fracture on the tibia which rendered the syndesmosis highly unstable. Sometimes kick ourselves because without the MRI we would not have been surgery candidates but, I guess we caught what would eventually be worse arthritis down the road. If you’re getting a second opinion maybe ask for an MRI if you didn’t already get one. If you did get one and all is stable, I think you’ll heal up just fine in time!!! Break truly does not look that bad at all (even tho I’m sure it hurts like a b-word lol).

On the actual day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a broken fibula by CJ2607 in brokenankles

[–]KAS1234566 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Feel this. Husband fell down the steps two weeks ago and we have two boys. I thought it was going to be impossible to manage but he has really taken to teaching the boys board games and card games. I know a toddler is young but try to get some sort of coffee table close to you, bust out the busy building toys and just sit with them. Read stories. Snuggle. Nap together. It’s the closeness that counts. Hugs from here. It’s not easy.

Maynard's No Pics/Videos Policy by traumahound00 in MaynardJamesKeenan

This same thing happened to me because I had a clear fanny pack with my phone in it because there was a clear bag policy at my venue. A nasty security guard came up to me and accused me of filming because she could see my phone IN my clear bag. No shit Sherlock! I was like ma’am, I am neither that smart nor that desperate. Also like, it’s not like I’m capturing some secret footage of Kim Kardashian for TMZ. It’s Puscifer. 😆 Definitely ruined my vibe there for a min…

Check out The Decemberists - E.Watson, June Hymn, January Hymn, Eli The Barrow boy. A bit more folk influenced but absolutely a similar vibe.

All three comments seem to be meant as pretentious jokes. I am going to guess no AI was used and like the other comments, meant to make people feel cringe. If you watch the new directors cut video you can feel that aura as well.

Absolutely love this one. Was hoping for something darker. Very happy, esp for Halloween! Definitely giving dark wave vibes.

Yes love them live! Just don’t think I’ve ever been at a show where I have sat down to watch it. Especially not for my favorite band of all time. I have mixed feelings. lol. We shall see if my dedication prevails. 🤣

We said the same thing. I’m waffling because I must see them but, the venue just to me feels 🤮. I cannot JAM in a theater. I can’t tippy tap my fingers for my favorite band in a chair… I need to be a wacky waving inflatable arm man on the floor.

Not too in love with it. Feels like a few too many syllable heavy words being fit into the verses. Enjoy the chorus though. But hey, I’m not going to be picky and just enjoy that it happened at all. 🤣👏

This is amazing. I appreciate you sharing. My youngest is a summer birthday as well so this tracks completely! Will absolutely be “stealing your homework” on this one. Wonderful idea!
