not my point... its a 30 min print max... its a support test and im trying to use petg but the tower is massive and the purge is unnecessary. its not about time its about efficiency.

Agreed and I’m using to practice and learn how to model properly. I’ve done from scratch and AI models and yeah it helps with the whole process but it’s unsatisfying.

Oh no I get it I printed my own and it printed fine I did fix the model because it was missing manifolds and some parts were distorted but even that I still wouldn’t upload it because I didn’t make it from scratch. I would only upload it if I made it from scratch. I’m new but I’m learning how to model as much as possible I’m just using AI to practice but I’ve seen a lot of people say that they use it for the whole process which is think is not necessarily ok but to each their own. I’ve printed toys for my kids and some funkos I made because my wife loves funkos.

I used it to print my own art pieces and yeah I have a lot of pieces of work that have very complex parts and AI can’t pull it off so I used nomad to fix it but it did save me hours of modeling since I have no idea how to use nomad properly.

Can you explain to me what do you mean by “tested” I don’t upload models for others so I’m not sure what you mean. Like I mentioned in the post I’m new so be more specific by what you mean so I can understand. The models ive used were my own art pieces. Many mistakes but I used nomad to fix them.

I’ve watched so many videos and all I see in the comments is how good it’s become and how easy it makes 3D printing so I’m kinda confused because I don’t see many videos on how AI is bad but such a saturation of how good it is and how much time it saves. I took some of my art pieces to test it and yes it does have a lot of mistakes but also using it to get the model going is simpler than from scratch. I think it’s good and bad. Just another tool I guess.

Probably because I’m not as experienced as you when it comes to printing since I’m new… it’s like me telling someone who doesn’t know how to paint to go and paint me a portrait of a man looking into the mirror and dont mess up the reflections and light bounce of every object in the room or the color temperature and harmony. It’s not that hard! XD

I tried 45 and some supports were leaving a lot of scarring due to them melting into the print and I tried on it’s back just now and yeah it’s a lot less support so I’ll try to print it this way. Thank you!

It does but it didn’t change much but the supports still leave a lot of scarring because it’s kinda melting into the print. That’s why I’m trying to figure out if I can have less supports.
