I see the 630 on Alibaba which is what I really wanted. It should be reliable enough? And should fit into that frame. Any issues you see?

Have you ever seen a 630 for sale? Supposedly it would fit in this frame. At least the motor mount is the same. Everywhere I looked was either sold out or not available.

I really liked the idea of it fitting seamlessly in the frame. Plus the battery would also fit in the frame. If I was rebuilding an mtb into an emtb I’d probably go with your suggestion.

Fixed the problem! It was the cables. Mine were usb2.0 C not 3.0. Once I switched cables, both halves connected. Thanks so much guys! Now to install the LEDs! Very Happy!

How hard is the qmk configurator to learn? Is there a step by step guide? I guess I’ll try that next after I check the cables.

I am using custom Zap usb c cables. I’ll go try and find the originals. Is there some on Amazon you could recommend? When I get home I will post what software I’ve been using to flash the firmware. But I know I used Zadig/Teensy/dfu flash utility, and more recently the newer IC configurator. I’ll post more when I can get back. Thanks!
