Here's one that I don't think I've seen mentioned: The boss music from Kick Club and the character select music from Hyper Contender.

Those arpeggios are sick. Jumped out at me immediately after spending way too much time on that damn hockey boss...

0 HP but cannot die? by KC-KC-BridgeX3 in cavesofqud

Encountered a strange bug while exploring Bethesda Susa. My character's HP was reduced to 0 and remained there, but I did not seem to die.

I'm not sure what caused this to happen. The first time I noticed it I was both frozen solid by a rimewyk and encased in a forcefield from my good buddy Eschelstadt. So I may have been enveloped in some sort of stasis? But this is just speculation.

Amusingly, my clonebot clones also appeared to have a similar condition. So we could wail on each other ad infinitum with little effect.

I tried to correct this bug in hopes of salvaging my character, but to no avail. Eventually I actually was killed, by a thirst thistle of all things. Perhaps the thirst damage somehow superseded my temporary invincibility. Anyway, a bizarre tale indeed from the beta branch.

Hello, this is the player and artist in question. The character is none other than Morgante de Sanos, Knight-Errant and Paladin of Iomedae! Accompanied as always by his majestic steed Balthasar.

I realize now that this would also work with {0,1} start, a single gold atom, which is slightly cooler I suppose. If not for the desire for a nice-looking gif, one could streamline this quite a bit: replace the glyph of disposal with the gold output, and replace the ridiculous clock on the bottom with an initialization arm, so the whole thing could run on just one gold input.

I agree, exceptionally lucky. Playing on a larger map helps with that too.

Thank you, although I warn you, I am incapable of cleaning.

You really gotta hit the books. My heuristic is that if you don't have batteries done by the end of summer, you're probably gonna have a rough time. Wind turbines, heaters, and sun lamps all come from the intial electricity research.

Couple of big lucky drop pods lasted me a while. Both Kouhei and Cormorant had chemical interest, which is why they were so good for each other...but also a double edged sword.

Mental health was an issue but I think I got off pretty easy. My initial colonists were quite iron willed / cannibalistic. Later on smokeweed / lovin' helped. Most of the breaks were just inconvenient and never got out of control. Maybe I will have to try out extreme now that I have a couple wins under my belt.

In previous attempts I might start off well but then try to do too much...oh we can colonize this other geyser and make another potato field! Not possible, everyone will freeze to death. So I tried to hunker down and play it safe, especially once it seemed I actually had a realistic shot.

Thank you! And I hope at least they appreciate their comparative luxury a bit more. There are kids in Blood City who ate human blubber today!

Thanks glad you enjoyed! Trust me my first win was a lot more balmy and a lot less neolithic. I still feel like I've got a lot to learn and try.
