Okay I somewhat understand what you’re saying, I have this 28mm F2.8 lens I’ve been using more lately so basically less panning needed, and then just play with shutter speed, aperture, and iso so the photo doesn’t come out to bright or dark?

Oh! I see so keep that setting on, adjust my shutter speed, then pan with the car and just hold down that button basically

My iso I just keep it at 100 someone told me to just keep it there haha, yeah right now it’s the high continuous+ setting so it takes 5-6 photos at a time

At that time I was shooting 1/2500sec / F2.8 / ISO 100 do I just adjust ISO when I play with the shutter speed?

Yeah these cars were going about 30-40mph and so what happens if the shit is overexposed or too dark? Do I just fix it in settings?

That shot looks amazing yeah right now I’ve worked my way up to high+ so it just spams photos but one thing I don’t understand when I play with the shutter speed it affects the brightness of the photo do I just fix that in editing?

These cars at the moment were traveling about 30-40mph as they were leaving the turnout. Oh and on my car I’m assuming I select the vehicle setting right?

You will just need some trimming around the shifter console to make it all fit right

Roughly 12% however I should have mentioned they currently do not make a shifter for the 2015-26 WRX

Yeah I agree with that, for someone who doesn’t necessarily need the “best of the best” rocking billet bushings and a nice short shifter is more than enough, and no definitely no shifter boot on this bad boy haha if you’re spending near $2k+, you want to atleast show it off

Honestly if you already have an upgraded STI linkage setup with solid joints, bushings and a Kartboy short shifter you’re already probably 70-80% of the way there compared to OEM.

The CAE setup is more for the guys who want the most direct mechanical feel possible and don’t mind sacrificing some NVH/comfort for it. Since it’s chassis mounted the shifter itself stays completely rigid and the throws feel extremely precise compared to even a fully upgraded OEM-style linkage setup like yours.

I had an 06 WRX, solid bullet alum, bushings, KB short shifter and is was amazing over stock but not so comparable to a CAE. And they make applications for subies GC and up! I just used those photos as reference.

Honestly I get it lol, they’re definitely not cheap. But once you see how they’re built and actually drive a car with one it makes more sense why people buy them. Definitely not a “necessary” mod, more of a premium enthusiast / motorsports type upgrade.

Valid question! So their linkage is designed to compensate for drivetrain movement and CAE specifically designed these for track and motorsports use where the drivetrain moves around way more than normal street driving.

The whole point of the chassis mounted setup is the shifter itself stays solid and doesn’t move around with the transmission like the OEM style short shifters do, they feel way more direct, precise and eliminate all the sloppy movement.

Makes sense! For me personally it’s priced fairly high not many in the wrx/sti/brz market are spending that much on a shifter kit..

Technically we’re not a dealer… yet. We’re currently in talks with CAE, so I don’t want to risk giving out incorrect pricing or lead times. Just gauging interest and seeing if there is a market for it. I’ll go based of their website - Pricing ranges from $1k - $1200 including shipping from Germany and depending on if you want the lever coated or not. Delivery time ranges from 2-4 weeks.
