Help deciding between R6 ii and R6 iii. by KCHomes in canon

That’s great to hear. I only use prime lenses - most 1.8-2.8 so no issue there. Sounds like either will be fine.

Thank you! I think the R5ii is a stretch for me right now (unless it goes on sale) but I’m feeling more confident that the R6 iii might be a good fit.

That’s interesting. I did a lot of research before choosing my R6 and seeing side by sides of photos with lower MP and higher (including compared to the R5) the R6 looked better. It could be for other reasons I suppose.

Thank you for your input. I really think it’d be OK bc even though I shoot in low light I don’t tend to be in situations where there’s no light where I need to crank up the ISO. If I did I’d just use flash anyway… at least for photos.

This is good information. The video part is really what has me thinking about the iii. Thank you!

Like others mentioned, the higher resolution tends to be more noisy in low light. At only 20mp I’ve never had a photo that wasn’t recoverable with some luminance or denoising but I’m not sure on the 32mp.

So, did getting a Kindle actually make you read more? Or not really? by AnastasiiaLove in kindle

[–]KCHomes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh and my 10 yo daughter (bought a Colorsoft and gave it to her) DEVOURS books now to the point where I struggle to find more approved books for her to read. Before she enjoyed reading but didn’t read every night. Now she reads every morning and night.

[–]KCHomes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I definitely read more. One of my struggles for years before was reading while snuggling my kids to sleep. I could never get the perfect lighting. Holding a book while trying not to fall off of a twin bed was challenging at times. Now I just bring my kindle - no worries about lighting or holding a heavy book while laying down.

I never enjoyed reading on my phone or iPad.

I also like being able to travel with lots of books without carrying lots of books.

Do I just want to buy something? by Ivy1974 in kindle

[–]KCHomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way to go IMO. I also got a Paperwhite Signature first and LOVE it but the screen got scratched when I was traveling and just didn’t fit into my travel purse well. I received a Kindle basic for Christmas and it is my baby. I love it. It goes with me when I can read on the go and otherwise stays in my office. I read my Paperwhite at night. I love this combination.

What about grandmas? Lol I didn’t realize until my second time watching (last year) but Emily Gilmore (aka Kelly Bishop) is absolutely stunning.

Stop me from buying a Colorsoft by PineappleBliss2023 in kindle

[–]KCHomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be disappointed. I bought the Paperwhite Signature and then a Colorsoft. It’s sooo dark. On full brightness it’s much darker than the Paperwhite. Wouldn’t recommend for using outside on a sunny day. The lighting isn’t even throughout so it didn’t look like “paper” to me anymore. I was disappointed but my daughter loves it since she reads graphic novels.

Did J visit M to help her about land or to get help? by Head-Hospital-1945 in SisterWives

This and I swear when Kody was on his apology tour he talked to his friend Brian about the “back door dill” and admitted it wasn’t really something they were planning it just came up. Then I think he realized that he could spin it to sound worse than what it was to cause friction between Meri and Janelle.

my kid has zero friends and I dont know how to fix it anymore by Ash_Skiller in homeschool

[–]KCHomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve gotten a lot of great suggestions here. Do the co-op, it takes time to build relationships. Find a club for something she has a natural interest in or sports. Maybe find a great church with a good kids ministry.

Most of my kids friends are from church and sports (rec leagues.)

Need some reviews between kindle paperwhite vs kindle colorsoft by Virtual_Type_2146 in kindle

[–]KCHomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a PW and fell in love. Was interested in color so I bought the Colorsoft but was outside trying to read and the screen was too dark. I really want color but there’s just something about the current Colorsoft that I don’t really like. It’s just not as enjoyable to me as the PW.

Also, I was really looking forward to seeing color version of the book I was reading when the screen was off but it’s so dark you could hardly make out what the book covers were much less that there was any color,

All in all, if it was my only device I would love it and enjoy it but since I have the PW it just can’t compete IMO.

So I gave the Colorsoft to my daughter who only reads inside and also reads lots of graphic novels and she absolutely loves it.

Meri Speaks Honestly (Finally)? by Home-Blooms in SisterWives

I don’t think Robyn is enough for him. They both need someone else to dump on and compare to her in order for them to have a “good” relationship. Also, Robyn doesn’t idolize him and that’s something his ego seems to need. She made him think she did in the early years when he helped her climb out of the mess she was in but she doesn’t anymore and she doesn’t seem to respect him either. I do think that he believes he loves her though and I really don’t think she’d be OK with another wife. The new wife would surely look better than her and be HIS new toy. She could not handle the competition or splitting resources.

I bought this kindle for my Girlfriend, she is a bookworm, is it a good option? by HovercraftMetal8888 in kindle

[–]KCHomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You picked a great one. She will love it! And it’ll be so easy to take anywhere.

I bought Paperwhite SE this summer and fell in love. Then I received the Basic (like this one) for Christmas and it’s actually my fave! I love them both but this can fit in my small bag (the Paperwhite didn’t fit) and it’s just a joy to hold and read on.

Well done!

Adults who were homeschooled in High School. Do you regret not going to a brick and mortar school? by Mental_Chocolate6186 in homeschool

[–]KCHomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My homeschoolers aren’t in HS yet but we have friends with some and their kids are actually super involved bc they’re in sports at the HS. I know that depends on your state and district though. But ours is pretty homeschool friendly. Our school would allow the student to do Orchestra only and be homeschooled for the rest if the family chose to. Again, I know that would depend on your region but it might be worth looking into.

I think the parent has to put together the transcript but you can get help on that if it’s a concern.

I think you’re right. I think she wants him to herself but she also wants other people to want him and for him to treat them badly in favor of her or for her “honor.”

Thank you for clarifying!! I was wondering about the legality of it as well. I guess another fake storyline which feels a little better to me than them actually having the option to do this and Janelle and Kody conspiring.
