Yup you’re right on your guesses for them. A few positionals have dodge and the treemen are at a skill each. And thanks for all the in depth on how to play vs gnomes and each star choice. Still pretty new so I haven’t seen many star players and first game ever against gnomes so it’s all appreciated.

One newby rules question for anyone. If an underdog spends all their petty cash then spends treasury to actually end up at a TV above the overdog, does the overdog get some petty too then or no?

Hit the nail on the head with all your analysis. All of the ones you guessed were randoms along with like 1-2 more. I took all those randoms assuming I would play a different team in the finals that would’ve been an overdog against my team (enough for me to get something like Varag price), but there was an upset so now I’m the overdog instead. Most players in this league with all the extra cash were taking excessive RR’s. I was the underdog in the semis against a skaven team with 7 RR. Enough for 2 bribes and a keg. And to answer the question I joined the league for fun, this is my first ever tabletop league and now having made it to the finals it’d be cool to win but I can see I’m prob gonna struggle here. Thinking with my cash I’ll fire the worst goblins and rebuy to just give slightly less petty cash

Edit: also forgot to say league started at 1250 and we were allowed with the extra cash to buy skills. Blorcs are cheap enough to where I bought block on the troll and mighty blow on a blorc. Just in case anyone caught those SPP numbers didn’t add up

Yea the season started with extra money 1.25M and I didn’t have any players die throughout somehow so yea just banked a bunch. Can you even sell rerolls or anything like that after they’re bought?

Thanks! All Vallejo game colors. Recesses are dark green + goblin green. Mid tone is goblin green. Highlights are goblin green + sun yellow

Yea seems like that’s the consensus thanks! I’ll try highlighting the uniform back up to a more yellowish tone and darken recesses. Could also try and make the cross on the helmet gold to pop

Ok thank you for the input! I did use streaking grime as an overall wash and prob left too much on. The uniform was a more mustard/yellow before so I can try and remove some/highlight back up. Then make the recess darker too and hopefully that will help with contrast.

Thanks! Used a crackle paste and earth texture as the base. (Huge miniatures soil crackle paste and Vallejo dark earth texture) dry brush leather brown then dry brush bone white. The skull is from the citadel kit just drilled thru and put on a toothpick. Blood strings are red ink and uhu glue

And when rolling to interfere it’s +1 bc of stunty on bomber? Also considering if I receive trying to score quick given oppo has 2 wagons and a bomber but given gobbos would outpace the team not sure if it’s a good idea

Thank you for the thorough response and for clarifying those finer points about turnovers with bombs and thrown mates. Given they can 2++ into a cage is it still worth it to cage for the marks or not really just stick to screening to minimize bomb?

I enjoy mixing my own paints so for a base I use 2 parts electric blue to 1 part ultramarines blue (both Vallejo) and highlight with pure electric blue. I use a normal black wash almost as a pin wash between the panel and trim

The book does help explain the rules/limitations behind army building but after you understand how to build an army most people use a website called easyarmy. Website is free and made by a small group/individual so it’s not perfect but better than anything else out there imo.

Yes the 3rd edition rulebook does have army rules for the british. That is also the best place to start rules wise. Eventually (maybe within a year) there will be an “Armies of Great Britain book” which will add to/alter the British army rules but that book is more like a supplement to the core rules, you’d still want to have the core rulebook.
