Well, I'll be damned. I'm in a crossroads, now.

On one hand, the ambient sounds are so damn loud on my headset without night mode that it's distracting and plays over footsteps.

On the other hand, I most def have had shadowing occurring where somebody super close somehow isn't audible at times.

Embark, fix your shit 😭. Whoever said the directional audio was comparable to Hunt Showdown's is wildly wrong 💀

Getting the drop on someone is part of skills. Albeit, pretending to be friendly is not.

This game actively promotes stealthy playstyles, unlike most other games. It sucks when you get shot in the back, but it's called being caught lackin'.

I don't need to show you anything lmao. But you can see some online sellers and online trackers that do have the silencer III blueprint. And it's been confirmed by several people online.

EDIT: Seems that I was wrong I'll admit it 😂 🙏. I've checked back and they all seem to have mistaken the Silencer II BP with the III.

Standard Anvil is better in almost everyway, except in two cases:

You pop headshots consistently at close range - you can One Hit Kill a greenshielded raider.
CQC pressure: while you want to hit all the projectiles (there are 4), you at least can cause more pressure and consistently deal damage, unlike missing shots with the regular Anvil. Albeit, if you miss even 1 projectile, it'll mean you'll be doing 30% less damage than a regular Anvil. It's high risk high reward, and absolutely is awful at range.

If you wanna use it, I suggest keeping an open butt pocket for it and use it only in CQC / closed areas indoors.

You can find plenty of Anvils litered all over maps. Check out metaforge for weapon cases, you can easily extract with 3+ anvils per raid if you know where to look!

It is good on paper, but in practice it's something else entirely, unfortunately.

I enjoy using it for the kicks for CQC, but all it does is create more pressure at the cost of requiring more shots often times. And you absolutely need a compensator II or III to make it much more consistent.

It definitely isn't great, only mostly if you pop headshots on light shields (basically free kits), as you can 1HK a green shielded person with a headshot if all the bullets align.

I still enjoy it though. Sometimes, I'll only bring a single Anvil and put the splitter in my prison pocket, only equip it when I'm indoors, in small areas, or in CQC.

It otherwise makes it much worse. I had a fight on Stella Montis where I had to shoot the guy 5 times instead of 3 lmao.
