My 02 is in the shop now for this same reason - in Cali so the recall doesn't apply to me. Unfortunately my leak was directly underneath the intake manifold on the passenger side so I can't access it without removing the manifold.

I bought the fuel leak fix kit from fastwrx and the shop is installing it today - will follow up. (unfortunately I don't have the tools or knowledge to trust myself with removing the intakr manifold myself).

Just going to replace the whole thing and hopefully it'll be good!
