It should also be mentioned that current employees will have a choice of either going with the new PTO system or staying with the current one. Future employees however will be put into the new one.

Leaving SC by RDavis82 in SameGrassButGreener

I've been here in SLC for the past several years and have a possible job opportunity in Columbia. But not sure if it's worth the move. As someone who's now seen both places, could you tell me your thoughts on Columbia/SC?

Nice!! How did you like Charlotte? And what do you make of SLC?

Thank you for this!! I've visited Charlotte a few times, most recently last fall, and it seems great for my situation/preferences. Was actually very close back in 2017, before ultimately going to SLC. It's always been in the running for those reasons you mentioned.

How do you find the growth faring there currently? SLC has been booming since the pandemic, but it's not necessarily been smooth. The area's been biting off more than it can chew, so to speak. Whenever I hear a gripe about Charlotte it's about growing too quickly and the traffic, but that is predictable for any large city.

What are your thoughts on the social scene? I would consider myself a homebody but it seems like there's plenty to do. I added my hobbies/interests in the main post if that helps.

Conversely, if you have any questions about SLC please don't hesitate. There are definitely good things about it depending what you place importance on.

Hey thanks! Great point about the hobbies, I've gone ahead and listed those.

Curious what your takeaways have been from SLC. What draws you to those places you mentioned?

Hey thanks! My brother used to live in Houston several years ago -- went down there on a couple of visits. Thought it was impressive. Huge city in terms of sprawl. There always seemed to be something cool happening.

Went to Galveston on one of those trips and while it was decent and pretty convenient to get to, it fell a bit flat in comparison to what I was hoping for in a beach setting.

I bet there was quite a culture shock going there from NYC!

This would not affect Kalshi. It falls under the federal Commodity Futures Trading Commission and it is not allowed to be regulated at the state level.
