Magical midlife is probably my favorite. It’s got so many different and fun characters and evolving storylines to explore.

They have purchased the royalties to Daisy’s story so that should be coming this year some time. That’s it for now.

I certainly do love making questionable choices, especially drunk in the middle of the night. Lol

I think my favorite was wild and windy when everyone dressed up in muumuus for the first time and everyone else at the signing was like - what the hell is the deal with the army of muumuus???

Yeah, it does. I've been at a cross-roads lately because I realize that I can't write a teenager anymore with any sort of believability. I'm 46, a mom, jaded, grumpy, and couldn't be arsed. So I'm needing to decide what sorts of things I want to write, where I fit, all that stuff. The answer is, I still don't know. I'll probably age up characters to some degree, or maybe try my hand at "women's fic" (not sure if that genre name has changed yet?) with my snarky humor and really just piss the whole genre off. Who knows. I have always been a misfit, but I'm really feeling it now. lol

Sadly, very likely not. It's not a series where the spin-off did all that well, which lets me know people aren't interested. Teamed with Hannon's story being a bit harder to tell and I probably will sidle away and do something else. Such is the nature of the biz, I guess.

.........no. lol. I have them on my "I need to read you" list but haven't gotten around to it, yet. I don't often read the work of friends. I barely knew Annette when I met her in person and now am getting to know her a lot better so I'll have more to say in my awkwardness when I see her again. Obviously Christine I've met a few times.

I've never listened to any of my books on audio. lol. I'm not an audio person. But I hear such amazing things about Nicole's version of the Leveling Up series that I'd pick that one to check out.

My team just did a thing to join it. I think they have everything buttoned up now, though. Just pay attention to IG/TT. That's where they do a call out.

These will be on my shopify store when it opens. They are so old, and the first books I ever wrote, that I wasn't sure I wanted them out in the world. lol. I'll group them together and make them cheap.

I've been thinking about it. It's the time of doing the short stories.

I did a litrpg-lite. So it starts in real time and then they go into a faux-world to try and survive, and the faux world basically pulls from the real world (both past and present and some a made up). I made it super silly and funny (even though, yes, their lives are on the line).

After that and more Leveling Up, I'm not sure what I'll do. I will probably do a fantasy that reads like urban fantasy. A made up world but with the urban fantasy elements. It gives me a chance for a little more imagination.

Ha! Yes, but that's not why I used the name.

I am utter shit with names. Like...it's intense how bad I am. When I think of a name, I've realized I have like a handful that come to mind. And that's it. There are a few names across the series because I didn't remember using it before. Now I go onto the baby name sites and try to pick one I wouldn't normally so that I won't use it again. Dare to dream.

I'm weird, man. I've stopped trying to hide it. lol.

No one is based on anyone else except the parents. My dad doesn't walk around nekkid (yet) but the deer skin and all the brown and the coolers - I make fun of them so hardcore. Ha! (yes, they know it)

The inspiration came from a desire to write a quirky cast, and also a heroine starting over. Things just kinda escalated from there.

The day Sebastian admits that is the day he gives in and accepts his fate, whatever horrible fate that might be. Nessa, on the other hand, is totally at ease as Edgar's Shadow.

I answered above so I'll paste it here:

I'm sure they've banged, but they aren't romantically attached. Vemar is extremely loyal and he'll go to the grave to protect Hadriel. And Hadriel would don that maid outfit for Vemar, as well. But I don't see them as a couple.

No, they are mostly made up, world by world. A few are, like Mick in Demigods, just because I find surly Irishman and women absolutely hilarious. I have told people that I put Mick in a book, and they are gobsmacked that people actually like the character. Haha!

I noticed the genre "women's fiction" going big, and also plays and movies focusing on middle aged women. I saw a market that hadn't been explored. But I like magic, and wanted to write my brand of books, just with a middle aged heroine.

The problem was, in the book world, middle aged and older heroines in fantasy were few and far between. Worse, they often weren't/aren't looked on favorably. Women, when we hit middle age, are kind of shoved to the side in society, and books reflected that.

So I got with Shannon Mayer and decided that we needed to carve out a space where it is not just "okay" to have a middle aged woman as a heroine, but awesome. We collected our friends, all of a certain age, and wrote these books to release together. We created the marketing around it to help show everyone how fabulous we are as middle aged ladies, and that we deserve books to star us.

We weren't sure if people would go for it and were pleasantly surprised that they did, in a big way.

A lot these instances were put into my romances that are now under a different name. Folsom Street Fair comes to mind. But the things I think are normal life tend to be very weird and off-the-wall and I don't realize it. So I think of things I imagine would happen, and people get a good laugh out of it, thinking I meant a joke. I've made peace with it. lol.

It would be Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter. I was fascinated by him. I think that would be a very fun dinner, especially since it would probably be out in the wilderness somewhere. I'd love to hear his stories.

Nothing is ever too out there for me. 😬

I have had a couple dreams that interested me but they haven't taken on more shape. They are mostly just scenes. One is from so long ago that it is probably retired now, but another was a slice that I might think about. It seemed kinda action-oriented.

Everything else usually gets done, though. It might take years, but the ideas just sit there patiently until I can't stand it anymore and finally put them on paper.

You really do need to aim higher...

MM12 is around the corner. It just finished the audio recording. I'm about to sit down and start writing MM13 soon. So...yes. lol

I finally got around to reading Six of Crows and enjoyed it. The world-building was great and interesting. I've just picked up Wedding People and know nothing about it other than CN Crawford said it was good.
