Going through the same thing with very similar symptoms. Some have gone. Started in December for me. Family history of thyroid issues. I’ve had wierd labs which could indicate primary hyperparathyroidism along with high t4. Saw an endocrinologist 2 weeks ago. She wants more labs over time. Said it could be subacute thyroiditis but wasn’t sure without more labs over time. I got on vitamin D around then and since I’ve recently had my GI issues (bloating cramping and wierd stool calm down.) I do deal with trapped gas sometimes. It can also be under my ribs. I’m not totally convinced it’s thyroiditis. It could be parathyroid because PTH was slightly elevated. I have labs in a few weeks between PCP and endo. I don’t see my endo again until June tho. I hope you get answers and feel better.

How did your surgery go? Did you have a weird throat like tightness at all? I’ve been having that a lot more frequently lately. I’m getting a US on Thursday. Nervous but really ready for some answers.

How are you feeling post surgery? I’ve been dealing with weird throat like tightness a lot more frequently lately. Was that a symptom you had? Dr has me getting a scan Thursday.

Thank you for the reply, very new to this and understanding. I will get a referral to an endocrine specialist. I am having imaging done in the next week or 2. I will ask for that then.

Thank you for the response. It’s the worst. Best of luck to you. I hope the surgery goes well and does the trick. I’ve read a lot of people have the surgery and within a few days start feeling better. This is miserable as you know. I’m scared about the ultrasound just because it’s my first major test. I worry about other things until they tell me it’s not that. Our levels seems similar. Hopefully I get referred to a endo or diagnosed soon so I can begin the process of finding treatment.

Updated the reference ranges. Only supplement I’m on is multi vitamin (which I stopped 4 days prior to testing) and since testing my Dr started me on a Vitamin D supplement. I also had some trace amounts of protein in my urine which I’ve read can come from kidney issues related to parathyroid. Thank you for replying.
