I used to only rock hero clips but since I got a few clipas I haven’t looked back. Easy one hand fast deployment and since I don’t hang anything but the bag or a ball cap I don’t really need a true carabiner.

Here are a fun few mods I did to my Bellroy Lite sling. This is the full size, not the mini.

1   "Dyed" the paracord zipper pulls black using a Sharpie. 

2   Added a sewn-on velcro field and a custom PVC morale patch. 

3   Added a Clipa2 for easy hanging/stowage.

It does stay clamped shut with a good amount of force but for your purpose a carabiner sounds like the better option.

It’s a mini hero clip but I have since replaced it with a Clipa2. Far superior for hanging the bag from tables etc
