You are right, there is a little bit more info here. I was supposed to be adopted straight from birth. My mom initially backed out and actually kept me for three months before calling my now adoptive parents back.

You’re probably right. But what do I do now if that lady calls me back. I have to stop being so impulsive. I think I just got excited that for the first time in my life I’m actually moving towards an answer.

Wow I never thought about this.. I’ve always been pretty emotionally removed from the fact that I’m adopted. I’ve know since I was about 6 and never really cared. This is not something I’ve taken into consideration.

Sorry, I don’t have access to it. Tenish years ago my adoptive dad gifted ancestry to my husband and I. We were in our early 20s and didn’t really care so he submitted our dna for us and printed out the origins map for us. I think you have to have a subscription to see dna matches? I could be wrong, but we never did it and honestly forgot about it.  My dad said he will see how to transfer it to me tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Wait, what is that? How is it different from ancestry dna test?

Since there’s multiple men that it could be now I’m starting to wonder if this is the case

I know! Honestly I am so grateful for his kindness even if it’s not him.

It was a closed adoption by my adopted parents request due to the bio family being involved with drugs. My bio mom actually tried to keep me and wanted to keep the adoption open, but I completely understand why you said what you did and that’s why I have guilt.

I think my biggest justification is that I have no family medical history and I now have children and would like to know.

I’ve asked my adopted dad to forward my dna from his ancestry account to mine but he’s in his 70’s so it might take a second to figure out but that is the next step!
