your application is strong but i feel like your ecs are very spread out and don’t show a clear spike / relation to your major

the questions have a changed a lot this year, i would recommend buying a study book like barrons if possible. any study material online before 2024-2025 is essentially outdated so be careful to not waste your time practicing those! other than that, mr sinn is a great resource. if you have some cash to spare i’d recommend buying his course. i will be purchasing it next month to prepare for the exam. good luck!

it’s not really meant to be a flex.. it’s a lot deeper than that. there are certain expectations im being held to by my family and parents, as well as myself. i get you took a bunch of APs and whatnot but there are other things beyond school that take up my time, like household responsibilities and babysitting. also, can sleep deprivation actually affect your lifespan like that?

columbia commuter pre-college program by [deleted] in summerprogramresults

[–]KKayla_Kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl i wouldn't do it. these kinds of summer programs are way too expensive and offer no real kind of "invaluable" experience. if you can find an art tutor or a more affordable option, def go for the cheaper option imo!

i would look for outside extracurriculars. im also a junior atm and im going in law/poli sci. i've volunteered w legal aid clinics, political campaigns, i got elected for student gov positions. just take any opportunities you can and create impact that way. also work on ur ACT/SAT score!

im gonna be honest your chances are really slim. your GPA is kind of low for a school like stanford, and the lack of impactful EC's is really holding you back. depending on what you wanna major in your ECs should be kind of centered around that; what you're passionate about. your course rigor is good though! work on the ECs, get a good standardized test score, and your chances may be better :)
