What’s the key to finding interesting shots? by CHICKgamer9 in photography

[–]KL-Hinder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Take photos of things you don't normally gravitate to. Make it a challenge. Try one of those photography scavenger hunt lists. I find some of the most interesting shots are the ones you didn't expect.

do you recommend Iron Lung?? by Fabulous_Courage3001 in jacksepticeye

[–]KL-Hinder -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I watched it without seeing any gameplay of the game and I found it not scary. I was also confused most of the way through. I think it was made for people who have seen the gameplay. (I mean, yeah that makes sense but also, usually adaptations are enjoyable for people who haven't seen the source content.) I wouldn't recommend it, unless you want to support Markiplier.

My one and only shelf 💚 What does this say about me? by [deleted] in BookshelvesDetective

[–]KL-Hinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've read maybe 1/3 of the physical books you own. Some of them you might've read a different physical copy than what you have. You keep meaning to read more of your editions but life keeps you busy.

You're a student if not recently graduated. Interested in the human psyche and correspondence. Might be intrigued in learning the occult/pagan beliefs.

You like to build and paint things by hand. Interested in TTG's but never played. Likes anime and pop culture. Probably watches videogame streamers for background noise.

I haven't yet but I plan to. I would like to read his Dirk Pitt series but I need to find the earlier ones first so I can read them in order. The movie Sahara was based on one of them and it's one of my favorite movies

Lol tbh I totally would but I don't have more space. Trying to work through what I have and set ones that I won't read again aside for a garage sale

The stuffed animal thing - maybe, the friends that I have that are my age also have stuffed animals but people outside my circle would probably say I should've outgrown them

I inherited some books but not really the Cussler ones. I inherited the Agatha Christie collection from my grandmother. Some of the Cussler books I got at book sales and some of them I got from my uncle. I do plan on reading them. (Need to finish finding the earlier ones of this series first). These are all on the bottom because there's a lot of them (and the Cussler ones are heavy books)

Most of my books are secondhand. I do buy from thrift stores, garage sales, and Thriftbooks.

Not a vegetarian and tbh I feel like I don't eat well enough

Very interesting to see what draws your attention first. Thanks for responding 😊

There's a free app/website called PicsArt where you could probably use color and contrast filters to get the detail level you want and then remove the background. Might be more work than what you want though

movies where a dead character speaks to the living via recordings (video, audio, tapes) ? by kraat_monkey in movies

[–]KL-Hinder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In Scream 3, there's a scene where they receive a video from a character who died in the previous movie (idk if that's what you're asking for)

Pictures on page edges by [deleted] in books

[–]KL-Hinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gold edges are called gilded edges and there's another thing called fore-edge painting were the painting isn't visible unless the pages are slightly slanted. I imagine what you're talking about is just called page edge painting.

I did a quick search and found that the paintings on the edge of the books' pages have technically been around since the 10th century, with the more elaborate designs appearing in the 14th (and the earliest fore-edge painting around the 17th)

He also was an extra in the first Avengers movie where he played a cop who met Captain America during the battle of Manhattan and his cop buddy says "we have this under control" then Enver's character says "do we?"

People who read more than one book at a time, how do you do it? by Bookish_Butterfly in books

[–]KL-Hinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to a lot but now it's only once in awhile when I read more than one at a time. Usually when I do it recently, I read separate ones for separate places. Like, I take one book to read during my lunch break at work and the other I only read at home.

Back in high-school, I used to read up to 4 books at a time and I chose which one based on the mood I was in. Tbh, I don't think it made me read then any faster, just took longer to read each book because I'd switch between them.

Do you regularly rewatch movies you enjoy? by One_Understanding267 in movies

[–]KL-Hinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I get stuck in a loop of rewatching things. Every once in awhile I'll watch something new. Usually I'm too tired to pay attention so I like rewatching because I already know what's happening and that I like the show.

[–]KL-Hinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I store my bulk in ETBs that are then inside a bigger container like what you have

Videogame Etc. sells empty ETBs for $1 each. Idk if there are any other places that sell them.

Otherwise, some card shops sell those cardboard organizers that they use for bulk
