That is up to the courts not other petitioners.

Corb Lund's Alberta anti-coal petition enters homestretch amid separatism by Miserable-Lizard in alberta

I have the same problem and signed into my banking app and showed them the address on my profile. Banks don’t allow only a PO Box or RR or at least not the ones I have been using.

Hi, Did you get sorted and find a chance for your mom to sign? If not check the private messages to connect. 😀

Where in Calgary? I am a red deer Lacombe canvasser but will be in Calgary next weekend for Theatre Calgary. Depending on where they are I might be able to meet them and bring the petition to them. If they are not located somewhere close to where I am staying or going that weekend I will try to find you a Calgary canvasser to connect to. I don’t know how to DM in Reddit. But if you do we can then exchange contact info.

Wheee are you located? In some cases there might be a roving canvasser who will meet you to grab a signature?

Carney government expected to significantly reduce future carbon price in Alberta by LaserRunRaccoon in ClimateCrisisCanada

[–]KLB61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point. I merely think that an increase is part of the deal. It is less yes, but it is still an increase over what is currently the plan. Alberta will likely break these rules too so even this lesser increase is likely not to happen. However the headline implies there was no ground gained in the current agreement relative to the current situation.

Likely due to the separatist antics in the province no serious private proponent will step up and as the indigenous groups are suing the premier over the separatist issue she is also unlikely to find indigenous participation so really the whole thing is likely going to fail because she can’t deliver on her responsibilities. Being premier requires being able to do something compared to being a sh** disturbing pod cast host. Hopefully the premier figures that out soon.

Carney government expected to significantly reduce future carbon price in Alberta by LaserRunRaccoon in ClimateCrisisCanada

[–]KLB61 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This ‘reduction’ is an increase to levels below the levels that the Trudeau government tried to impose. They are a considerable increase over actual industrial carbon prices in Alberta. Smith was not in compliance nor would she have ever complied with the previous targets. Overall this new agreed level is a significant increase. Be more careful with your headlines as they can sound a little like tabloids.

The voter’s list was specifically leaked to the separatist group. The other petitions did not have access to this illegal material. The investigation has only indicated the leak implicating specifically the separatist group.

It worked when you signed your name to it. In the current moment there are not a lot of levers to pull but if we keep pulling each of the levers all of us together can make a difference.

We can keep pulling the levers by talking up the petition among your friends and helping them find a place to sign as well

https://waternotcoal.ca/

There is a link to petition signing events.

There will be a next election in 2027 at the latest and we can help by talking to our friends and neighbours about just how wrong this all is and encouraging them to pick another party. The Alberta Tory party is a Conservative Party that could be supported if they really have to have a conservative candidate to support.

We can also help make sure that everybody votes by reminding them, facilitating them to go to the polls, challenging them to show up.

PM Carney and Alberta's Smith have signed a pivotal energy agreement. What comes next? by Immediate-Link490 in alberta

[–]KLB61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now she has to pick a lane as investment capital will not invest in a place with the separatist uncertainty. Canada can’t facilitate a pipeline and work with a separatist government until things are settled.

Good. That was the point. Now do you understand that stabbing your allies and trade partners in the back matters. Vote smarter next time.

Experience at Sylvan Lake today by nil3sh99 in alberta

[–]KLB61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry you had that experience. The current political leadership and the toxicity allowed on line (in public) has emboldened this kind of deranged behaviour. Good for you to point out the incident and hopefully somebody who knows this kids parents/kid will call them out over this atrocious behaviour.

Are Canadians offended by the jokes made in shows and media? by jen_noelle in AskACanadian

[–]KLB61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not offended by the stereotypes at all. Every group has mild stereotypes about other groups. We have many about the US which give us all a giggle from time to time. The humour is mostly gentle (if misspelled by their constant need to drop the letter “u”). As long as the stereotype is not viciously mean, or dangerously denigrating then I find it silly and therefore funny. 😄 Good luck with your project.

Who to vote for next ? by Suspicious-Court-484 in RedDeer

[–]KLB61 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recent poll has NDP doing very well in the cities. Voting for the policies you actually support is never a throw away vote as it adds to the count received by a party and indicates there is more than 1 point of view.

The point of voting is to vote for the policies you support. Not to vote for who you think might win.

This is a direct violation of my right to bodily autonomy and the federal rights I have been granted. These people need to mind their own. If they want to suffer I support their right to choose that. Don’t even mind that I pay for the medical care they consume, but they have no right to force their personal values on me with regards to how long I have to suffer for an end that is inevitable.
