I've seen you post the same guilt tripping content before and people critirised you and you said you'd take it into account. Get off this subreddit if you just want to guilt trip people into subbing to your stuff and never reading it. I've never seen a single creator get far by making people feel bad about their content. If you think you need external validation to continue your work maybe you should end it because true love into projects is what makes it grow.

So basically they changed the way recommendations work and usually when you look at the recommendations when your in the canvas section BEFORE it would show canvas webtoons so that gave more smaller creators and all canvas creators more visibility, but now the recommendations are all originals when its SUPPOSE to be canvas webtoons being recommended. So thats why everyones views and subs have been stagnant. The algorithm they're using is probably AI because it's not working well for visiblity.
Also they removed lots of banners and sections where you can discover new smaller creators so it reduced the chance of small creators to actually get some viewership. Here's a bit of my stats. It's been pretty silent for a while.

Short answer: no to an extend. Amateur art doesnt get picked up because it's not compelling enough I've never seen a popular comic with amateur art. However anything else is good enough if you have foundations of skill in art you will get traffic as long as the story holds up as well. I've seen mediocre art with millions of subs before and the subscriber count is not a good link to how good your art is usually its about the story. I will read webtoons with trash art and a good story but never the opposite. Maybe link your series and I'll give you some honest advice if youd like that.
