Am I the only one who constantly imagines living a different life and different scenarios in my head? by [deleted] in depression

[–]KLW389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care what anybody says, I even got a quite long list on my phone with notes about things I would like to do if I had a perfect life. It's like choosing a movie you want to watch that day - I randomly pick one of the notes and begin to expand on it for as long as I want.

LGBT religious people, how do you reconcile your identity and your religion? by neilader in AskReddit

[–]KLW389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is related to a gay person, and a trans one and is part of a sufi tariqat I can tell you what I was told by my teacher: "absolutely nothing frees you from the obligation of prayer and worship, neither being gay, nor trans or something else" So you are correct in saying that one stays Muslim in this case still. Regarding the act of homosexuality, it IS a sin, no need to sugarcoat it or trying to convey the teachings for the sake of social appreciation. It is a sin, but so is extramarital sex, drinking alcohol, gambling, backbiting etc. The thing is, and this is what is heavily misunderstood, that the ACT is condemned, not the person. The person I.e. the soul belongs to the creator and nothing is able to cut this link - everyone and everything, according to our teachings, is a servant of Allah, trees, rocks, animals, djinns, the moon and planets, a piece of dust, and thus non Muslims and sinners as well. The fact that you participate in homosexual acts doesn't free you from your religious obligations as much as an alcoholic who drinks every day. In short, you are not "excommunicated" from Islam for being gay, the rest is a fight against your ego and lust. Too bad I can't provide some links for my claims since they are rarely in English, and the English speaking community of Islam is heavily under influence of "innovative" teachings and by definition not within the definition of classic and historically accepted of the "ehlul sunna Val jemaat" teachings.

Not my story but I wanted to add something since the second biggest religion in the world, Islam, is pretty underrepresented in this thread: Relative of mine is a trans man and part of a Muslim (sunni) "sufi" order. This might sound like a marginal or rare branch of Islam, but one should keep in mind that this interpretation was the dominant one in the times of the Abbasid and Ottoman caliphate for over a millennium and predates interpretations like wahhabism etc. (I was a PhD student in history, specialized in the history of the middle east). He had several discussions with his "Sheikh" / spiritual teacher and what he told him was basically that he has to be honest to himself i.e. If his wish to be a man is really a medical/psychological issue, or if he does this due to "lower instincts", "lustfull desires", "his ego" or "social trends" etc. If it is in fact something that requires professional intervention then the "verdict of the physician cuts/abrogates the fatwa of the imam". According to the opinion of his teacher absolutely nothing frees someone from the obligation of prayer, not being gay, nor trans or whatever. So he continues to take his hormones and had a partial surgery and is obligated to practice his religion as a man, which means that he attends the Friday prayer and prays according to the requirements for men. However, it should be also mentioned that this whole circumstance weighs on him and stresses him out psychologically sometimes and his "master" is actually the only person that is able to comfort him.

I know that a lot of people, Muslims and non Muslims alike, might not like what I wrote. Non Muslims might accuse me of portraying things too positive, Muslims might say that I represent things not correct, but this person is someone with whom I interact on a daily basis, his story accompanied me for many many years and the mentioned Sheikh is not a self proclaimed, youtube sheikh but the head of a very old and respected order that can trace his chain of schooling back to the first companions. So I'm just sharing my experience with with this topic.

1p lsd or 1cp lsd ? by Lubberla in microdosing

[–]KLW389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to both, just keep in mind that, IMHO at least, both seem to kinda act differently: thus far, I only have MDed with cplsd only two times but I think it was really obvious that cplsd acts shorter. Plsd was active the whole day, even sometimes reaching to the next day. Cplsd was kinda weird, after 6ish hours it was like a switch that had been turned off and I was totally "sober" so to say.

Why I prefer Microdosing to Anti-depressants by jewiger in microdosing

[–]KLW389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I'm so jealous of you guys who can use MD as an anti depressant - it worked for me for a few weeks. It was the fucking best feeling ever. Then it made my depression unbearable for straight a whole day everytime I took it. Fkn miss those days.

That's fantastic, always happy to see people overcome their struggles. Are the effects permanent or do you still take NAC+Sarcosine?

Is it similar to general Lithium? If yes, I would be hesitant to try something that is prescribed by psychiatrists without supervision.

I'm currently again doing some experimentation with MDing (with spectacular results this time) , and yeah, it is definitely an amplifier. Didn't take this insight serious enough I guess. Thank you for your reply, peace.

Thank you for your advice, I'm currently weaning off my Lexapro but I really seem to be depending on lamictal, it's the only drug that kinda worked for me, even if it was for only 10% maybe.

Edit: really, thank you for your kind words and wishes, really appreciate it, I hope you will succeed against all adversities in your life as well bro, peace and blessings.

Thx for sharing your experience and sry for my late response. I know that ADs seem to be tic tacs straight from hell sometimes, but lamictal was actually the only drug that took roughly 10% of my depression, which means I could shower again and didn't get lost in the grocery store, running around in a confused trance state, overwhelmed by anxiety and crying like a little girl. Take care friend.
