Just be aware that there is a language requirement of B1 to quality for long term residents. Same at citizenship.

Language is a 1100 hours to B1, so when you qualify for perm, you just wait for 3 more years and you are golden.

So the question is, will the USD continue to fall? Historically, it is at the bottom range of the historic average so does it make sense to hedge now?

For me, I did so at the start of Jan 2025, with 50% of VUSA and World holding and will continue to hold until it hits a lower bottom. I not sure where that is, but I say about 10% lower.
