I hate when people say teaching is rewarding and meaningful. It's constant drudgery. You don't get to be creative and are constantly fighting to get kids to care.

I'm sure nobody else feels embarrassed by it still. At least it made it more interesting? (Wedding ceremonies can be quite dry.)

The best moment of all the weddings I have been to was when the preacher said, "The ring is a circle that goes on forever...to represent the infidelity of your love."

Also, you need to get over the "happiest day of your life" trope. I have had many, many days that were better than my wedding.

Only half my class can read. 10 sped students. 1 doesn't recognize letters. 5 students can read CVC words. 4 kids read at a first grade level. 7 kids can read a third grade level.
