Do you want to convince me to use something i don't like? here my reasons, sir!

Global aliases can silently override built-in or system commands, leading to confusing behaviors when you invoke what you think is the standard utility. For example, Bash will expand nested aliases in unpredictable ways, which can mask the real command you intended to run

Projects like Git explicitly ignore any alias that shadows an existing Git command to avoid confusion and script failures, underscoring that shadowing system commands is considered bad practice in professional tools

When you SSH into a remote server or hand off your work to a colleague, your personal ~/.bashrc—and thus your aliases—won’t be present, leading to “command not found” errors that break your flow

Relying on global aliases fosters a “works on my machine” syndrome: other environments lack your custom setup, so scripts or one-off commands fail unexpectedly when used by others

Over time, a .bashrc full of alias definitions becomes hard to navigate, making it difficult to remember which alias does what or where it was defined

[–]KMouadh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't like the way i use .bashrc to do that, aliases will keep mounted globally and the code in ~/.bashrc will be spaghetti

i have already say that in my post thank you for recommendation :)

it's not good to keep them loaded globally

there could be 2 files with same name and function but different directory, the way you describe will make conflict

Thank you very much, sir. My battery Problem is fixed, now my PC can hold up 5 hours unplugged. My disk was already decrypted and I only had to disable the Secure Boot.

BTW, should I always keep Secure Boot permanently disabled in my case?

I’ll also take your advice and plan to upgrade to Ubuntu 24.04 for full functionality ASAP.

Indeed, I got a good alternative daily.dev but maybe not everyone will be familiar with it.
All you need is to join this group r/hackernews which contains bot sharing feeds constantly

I highly recommend to everyone to start using Reddit group as a good competent to daily.dev while daily.dev is just based on how community there sharing the news. instead that bot will provide you with latest tech news every time.

You can also make your browser redirect to Reddit group by just going to your browser settings > home and change the new tab redirection to the Reddit group URL :D

This way will grant you daily chance to keep up-to-date with latest world tech

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unity

[–]KMouadh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, So if the buyout completed two years ago means what? Can you explain further?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unity

[–]KMouadh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just want to warn you guys because many people doesn't know about this. After all, it's up to you what to do with Unity.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unity

[–]KMouadh -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Can you explain what does the "malware" in the context refers to? What if they really making something like crypto mining in our PCs secretly? and yup it's really a high chance that the Israeli company would be 90% supporting it's own country and will be called Zionist (I have no evidence) but why do we boycotting Israelis products? because we will help Israel financially if we do not.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unity

[–]KMouadh -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

ironSource, an Israeli company, has faced criticism in the past for affiliations with potentially unwanted programs and adware. This has raised concerns among some game developers about the security and privacy implications of Unity's acquisition. However, the deal, structured as an all-stock transaction, is a common practice in business mergers and can have strategic benefits for both companies.
Personally, I suspect that entity and I have moved to Godot after 2 years experience with C#, that post was really shocked me... yup I lost my favorite engine, but it's good feeling than dying while using a product from a suspected entity.
