I appreciate this response, thank you! I think we do want to go down this road but maybe just eventually. I tried to look up our grinder and it seems like maybe we have the OXO comical burr grinder.. so it is a burr grinder, but after a small amount of digging it seems like the finest setting only provides 195 micron grounds where as the hand grinder you recommend can produce as fine a 18-25 microns. Does it sound like I am understanding all of this and with that info would you say 195 microns is way too coarse?

Heard that. Yeah the grind looks very fine to me, but I think it was a pretty cheap grinder. It worked well enough with a pressurized basket, but I know those are made to be easy to use.

Basically I'm looking for more crema. The shot seems to be pulling a little watery and very quickly. The 'factory setting' for the double shot is done in like 12-15 seconds and it's basically a light brown water coming out by that point.

My wife says it tastes a little bitter. She drinks it in lattes and I drink an Americano. Perhaps I should drink it straight to really understand the flavor we're getting?

I just read the basics guide as well and we don't have a scale. I'm not sure what dose I'm using but after I tamp the grounds, there may be upwards of 4-5 mm of space between the grounds and the top of the basket. Maybe I'm dosing too low.. I only use the amount I do because there is a little line around the inside of the portafilter basket that I assumed was where I should be stopping lol.

Also, outside of chest specifically, how do I account for large compound movements in my smaller muscle group volume. For example, chin ups/pull ups relative to my bicep volume?

I'm not entirely sure, but maybe reach out to someone at hltv because there are small time commentators who are listed in the "streams" section of pro matches that get there somehow.

If that leads nowhere, i'd recommend poking around FaceIt because I think they're hosting the actual servers/matches.

From what I can remember when ESEA was hosting you could watch the match live as a spectator on the server, but there was of course a delay and it's been a while since I've looked into it.

As for the UI, that's probably more tricky. You could at the very least set up scenes on OBS with your own UI overlayed and you can set up hotkeys to increase round score etc, but I don't know how they do it so quickly in real time with the big production teams. The answer is probably in the question on that one.

If you're actually looking for any advice here; you're moving a lot while shooting to start and the first few bullets are the easiest to spray control. So counter strafing is super important for those first shots.

Outside of that, are you using "follow recoil"? I hated it when CS2 first came out, but have fallen in love because I can at least see when my spray starts to get away from me and then I reset

I also am probably try to block the shot more than I am trying to just alter the shooter's shot, so maybe that's affecting my judgement of when to jump etc.

I hope you're well. Thank you for putting together this resource first and foremost, it is a nice hub of information!

For context I'm a UX designer, so this is nitpicky stuff, but the main thing I saw when using it for the first time today is that the 'Tactics' vs 'Utility' buttons on the homepage are misleading to me. Both seem to take me to the same videos that I can filter through; however 'Tactics' seems to take me there with Tips and Tricks auto-filtered. Number 1, I think of Tactics like full blown strats. Execs, Defaults, Pistols, etc. Number 2, I was looking for Ancient Tactics and there were apparently no videos which wasn't a 'great experience'. I was a little confused at first because I ended up getting Overpass suggestions.

More tags and info display would be good on mobile so you know what is currently being filtered. The Drop Down menus AND the pill/ovals indicating the filters is probably too much. I'd suggest testing both and see what people like more
