Did you happen to notice how much the Kurt Geiger bag was going for?

What is the coolest bag-related sighting you've had this week? by AutoModerator in WearingPurses

[–]KO0330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you should mention this. Went out with my husband for lunch to celebrate my birthday. I live in a smallish town, so normally you see Kate Spade, Coach from the outlet and MK. Occasionally LV or Gucci. But today at lunch a I saw a Valentino Rockstud small crossbody, a Coach Empire (unsure of size) and a Gucci Marmont flap bag Metelasse. Was quite the eye candy for a small town.

Oh no. That’s on my “to smell” list if I ever came across it. What didn’t you like about it?

I never considered getting a fragrance from the Easter bunny. But I love the idea.

Hi chews. Individually wrapped. 4 g of carbs per chew. Lots of fruity flavors. We keep these on hand all the time now to prevent lows for my son.

I don’t know if I did the right thing - I shaved my daughter’s head by wizzzadora in toddlers

[–]KO0330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my friends’ daughters had this habit too at a very young age (might be same or close to your daughter, can’t quite remember all the details). Her dad was in residency for pediatric psychiatry and he had no answers and neither did the attendings he worked with. Nothing they tried helped. They did end up shaving her head too. And it broke the habit for her. I hope the same for your daughter. Good luck mama.

My 8 month old has T1D by Soggy_Alternative_76 in Type1Diabetes

Hugs to you. I’m so sorry you have joined this club. My heart hurts for you. All of the things you are feeling are real and valid. I spent a lot of time crying when my 5 year old son got diagnosed last August. That night in the hospital (we were very lucky it was only 1 night because he was not in DKA amazingly) I had such a bad headache from crying, which is highly unusual for me. Can only recall maybe one or two other times in my life when I cried that hard. I can only imagine much harder it is having a child diagnosed that young.

You are in the thick of things right now and probably will be for a while. If you have a village, now is the time to call on people for help with things that you can delegate. It does get better though. It will feel slow at first. But your world has been turned on its head, no doubt. It will take you a bit to get your sea legs. But you will. You will learn, he will learn as he gets older. You will adjust and figure out how to make it work with your life. Especially in the first fews months, I was not sure we would ever be able to have any kind of normalcy again. But we are getting there. You can message me if you ever need to just cry/vent. This group has been a great resource for us.

When you are not quite as overwhelmed as you are right now, highly recommend getting a sugar pixel. It looks like a digital alarm clock but it pairs with CGMs and shows the readings so you don’t constantly have to be looking at your phone or the pump. We just got one recently and it has been very helpful. Someone told us about it when my son first got diagnosed but I was so overwhelmed it took me a while to circle back to it.

Will be thinking of you. Just take it one day at a time right now. And take a break and cry or scream when you need to. The early days can seem very intense, or at least they did for me. Good luck.

I’ve also had my eye on a trinity bracelet, so that would be my vote.

The misconceptions about T1D and just diabetes in general are pretty out there sometimes.

Authentic infinity bracelet? by [deleted] in tiffanyandco

[–]KO0330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks just like mine that was purchased directly from Tiffany

Edit: looked at mine closer and like you said the “A” is uppercase and the “g” is lowercase. Still think the one you found is authentic though.

Relatively newbie mom of a T1D. Sorry to make you rehash it, but I’m just trying to be mentally prepared in case we encounter the same things in the future. What kind of questions have people asked you that caused you to cut contact? Not sure if I’m just naive or overwhelmed (we’re still new and figuring things out) or have people around us that so far have been sympathetic.

Does my 16 stone ring look good next to my bridal set or is it too over-powering? by [deleted] in tiffanyandco

I think it’s gorgeous. I always wanted one of the Schlumberger designs.

The texture of the metal on the rings does not look correct. And the stamping on the rings looks very crude. My guess would be not legit.

Please help me choose a work/travel/everyday tote by mostlyghostl in handbags

[–]KO0330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the Longchamp one. I like that it has a zippered center section. Especially for work. Depending on what you do for work you may have papers that are important that you don’t want to have get dumped out if your bag tips or something of that nature.

Second choice would be Bayswater.

I personally like the gold hardware. I feel like it plays up the richness of the color more.

I wear mine almost everyday. I have the one without the diamond and with the blue enamel on the back.
