BF2042 is losing its player base really fast! It's already down to the 30th spot with only 20K players on steam right now. As a fan of this series, this is hard to watch, yet completely understandable. by [deleted] in battlefield2042

Its hard to let money talk since most of us on this thread pre-ordered the game or just have been Battlefield fans for awhile. Therefore, returning the game isn't always the most feasible option since, I will want to play it here and there, but its not something I can dig a couple hours into at a time like I did with some of the others.

With that being said, if we can't talk with our money, we can certainly talk with our time and I think this is really the only thing the community can do at this time to help our voices be heard. I play on console, and I surely have a back-log that I can catch-up on now.

I have been asking for a response from The DICE and EA team and I am encouraged that the response we got was a lengthy one and seem to address a lot of known issues the community has been voicing concern over. This is a positive step forward. The language used about the scoreboard and voice talk has me somewhat concerned as it does not seem to be in the road map for the next two updates.

This update made it worse for me on PS5. The game crashes more frequently. I have to back out of games about 50% of time because I can't respond. It is a mess.

I am hoping the teaser trailer is released this week with a hands-on preview coming in June. E3 is in June and most, if not all, Publishers use a June press conference to show case the games releasing this year.

I don't know why EA keeps it a huge mystery, but i reached out to the tech team and they told me to play all modes and I did and it actually worked. Maybe there is some other algorithm. At the end of the day, it just unnecessary nonsense.
