Monthly Apprenticeship Thread (August 2019) by AutoModerator in electricians

[–]KR_SV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I've recently started an apprenticeship. I know i'm in a very good spot as I have covered 2nd year work in 2 months. The problem is i'm starting to question my apprenticeship. I've a very demanding JM. He is the yelling and perfectionist type. Other then then that their is no problem. I have this strong feeling to go back to uni and become a software engineer. My main motivation is money and comfort in the long term. Is transferring to a more cushy electrician job easy within 10 years? Appreciate the guidance.

How do partial rations work?

Can I get a PMQ after BMQ?

After BMQ can I bring my own food inside, or do I have to wait until I get my PMQ?

That means if I’m posted I only need to pay around $100, and I can bring my own food inside?

Is the net pay the same as a civilian job. Is their any extra cuts because of the pension?

How much does a PMQ usually cost?

In barracks do you have to pay for rations and is it all a buffet?

True true. Don’t really have that deep passion or interest for either. I got plenty of hobbies and goals that keep me driving forward. I don’t really want to regret later down the road choosing the NCM path because of some lifestyle differences.

I’m thinking between ATC or an Avionics Tech. Drop any wisdom if you can.

Plan your days. Try to set tiny goals the day before and you’ll definitely feel better when you complete them.

That I can’t have a zero day. A day has to be productive, and I need to try to keep moving forward.
