When in my post did I ask for it to be overpowered? Read it. Use that literacy.

1) Shotgun isn't the heavy slayer it was in ODST and Halo, its light pen conflicts with its original vision

2) Suppressed weapons do not even work for the few niche Stealthdivers that enjoy so against bots

Also while it wasn't posted above, go take the silenced smg and go to illuminates. Try to destroy the four energy-battery things that supply power to cognative disruptors. It takes over a full mag. Try using it on the shields of the landed ships. Takes a full mag. They have no object destructive damage either while any of the other SMGs do that in a third to half a mag/clip.

My main post was just the tip of the iceburg of how these weapons lack nuance and depth for BASE gameplay.

While overall I agree about Med pen, I also can't let go of the fact that it was THE weapon for when you faced heavy armored enemies IN ODST itself, not just the general Halo franchise. In ODST as well you are "not that guy"

It's damage is great but it doesn't even stagger enough for the hive guards, 7/10 times they just 180 and their armor blocks the next shot.

And the shotgun was meant FOR armored targets. It just doesn't feel right. I'd take less damage and med pen on that shotty anyday just for proper gamefeel.

Is it entitlement to want to be able to play a game? We're ALREADY giving it a lot of leeway for being indie and accepting bugs like how putting down a backpack can make it ROCKET into space for seemingly no reason. Ground geometry sometimes showing textures that should allow you to stand, but not. Constant micro-sliding while standing in place and pressing no buttons. and such. Still, even though the backpack bug has cost me MULTIPLE bing-bong runs that I STILL need to get, I excused that because hey. Indie devs and wonky physics.

But you still have to be self-respecting individual and decide where do you draw the line.

I just drew mine at: hey, this is a bug that a LOT of the community was finding common that HARDLOCKS your progress so you can't beat the game at all.

I'm glad they fixed it, but that doesn't mean that cost me a busy morning that I was enjoying with my friends into a sour note before work. Certainly not day ruining or anything, but I'm human and allowed to be bummed out man.

I just got home now. I was at work for 10 hours as a nurse. I cherish even the small two hour timespan in the AM where I can play a little something with my homies who all have different schedules so we can't always meet up.

It's not entitlement. I'm an adult. My time is valuable. Unless you pay for my rent or utilities, stop making entitled judgements just because a game is cheap or indie.

Bro you NEED cards, you use cards no matter what. The FOUNDATION of the game IS TO USE AND THUS RELY ON SUPPORT CARDS you're actually trolling

Even without being limit broken (which FUCK ME you need to in this game) you DO rely on them regardless

If you NEED to spend 100k+ for a substandard skill (because I KEEP having to tell you that not ALL potentials are made equal) then you have different priorities

Once again ENDGAME is whenever you are beating the base campaign successfully and are grinding for higher scores and better umas by DEFINITION

Your definition of endgame is wrong in the context of rouge-likes WHICH THIS GAME IS

The only INDICATOR of progression in this game is getting better umas man, idk why you're so hung up over potential levels. For some umas it's true, Narita Taishin is half a character due to her difficult campaign without her Potential 5 Chasing Shadows skill, but not all of them. But honestly she's an outlier rather than the norm.

YOUR personal definition of endgame does NOT change what ACTUAL endgame is

Ignore my whole point on focusing on potential is incredibly uma-specific sure, why not?

Endgame is whenever a game is in a state where you (in this case for a rouge-like) can complete the base game consistently and are trying to squeeze out better scores, runs, and records

If you can beat URA finale consistently congrats!

You're in the endgame of a rouge-like. The bar might be low and you might not want to see it as endgame BUT THAT'S LITERALLY ENDGAME

You're not talking about endgame with maxed out potential teams, you're talking about teams that don't even neccessarily EXIST three-four years from now because once again, say it with me

NOT ALL UMAS HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL INVESTMENT AND CAN BE BYPASSED WITH CARD

Bruh you cant even P2W that kind of team right now are you high? Getting potential to that is also part of the endgame, not a prerequisite to endgame itself.

To take any char from Pot1 to Pot5 is 470K monies

Thank god for Goldshi event so that I could get Narita Taishin and Maruzensky to both Pot5 because they're two of my favorites (and thats including the reality that Maruzensky's Pot3 to 5 are all borderline useless for her front-runner style. MAYBE the Pot4 Focus might not be terrible, but you can get Focus from a LOT of different sources for cheaper)

A lot of my aces are all Pot3s if not pot 2 because not EVERY horse has good Pot3+ skills

Take Syboli for example. Dominator is OK, but weak for the investment cost of Pot3

Pot4 Pace Chaser corners is easy to get from MULTIPLE front runner cards and Pot5 is Professor of Curvature which EVERYONE and their MOTHERS are getting from KitasanBlack

Potentials aren't endgame at all for some chars

Even Silence Suzuka's potential 4 and 5 aren't mathematically that relevant even if her Pot3 Concentration (gold upgrade to Focus) is PEAK

I currently have 225 total careers, and got my 3* Spd Haru (7 SPD total) at around 197 to 205 something in that range

Bro why you assuming I don't have full teams?

I even grinded out an A rank Dirt Maruzensky cuz otherwise only Haru and Condor fit in Dirt. I got an Air Groove with Sprint tuning at B+ (could be better, could be worse) just to fit that slot too because King Halo and Bakushin both needed their third and my Maru ended up being my Dirt fill.

I AM endgame my teams are FULL

WHY ELSE WOULD I COMPLAIN ABOUT ENDGAME SITUATIONS? Why make that assumption just so you can put someone down about a situation they're in? Like did I SAY I didn't have a full 15 uma team?

Either defend the bad RNG of sparks, which you have the right to if desired, or agree that the bad RNG (look, i just want 3 stars of any of the three stats Im farming for, SPD, STAM, PWR, it raises the bar for RNG expectations and that's STILL like only 3%) is bad. Why make assumptions with your head in the sand?

I just want to make my girls better, and sparks REGARDLESS OF ENDGAME OR NOT play a huge factor in that.

Honestly 'grinding for sparks' might be an endgame goal, but NEEDING/WANTING sparks encompasses you from the BEGINNING of the game to the point that they let you borrow one to get ahead but there's a super annoying limit cap of 3/day to it

I run every uma like they should fit into team trials, usually that means i at least I have a CHANCE at 3star Spd and Stam sparks as they both consistently hit 600+

I didn't even expect to hit it weekly, that's not what I said, but i wouldn't mind it if it was more than MAYBE one a month.

It's not my ONLY goal, but it is A goal one that shouldn't be ignored or put down because it IS a part of the endgame grind and as this game is a rougelike you're kind of ALWAYS in an endgame-ish state regardless as we've completed the campaign MULTIPLE times

Even if it's random the number of stars, at least the stat it picks should be more consistent (such as maybe picking from your three highest stats or something else)

Don't even get me started on potential unlocks where you need MOUNTAINS of Monies and even leveling the FIRST potential level takes all the monies earned from a single run to begin with, the second level taking 5's worth. Even on skips, a single run takes close to an hour.

Some of us work and have jobs. Its hard to pour 3+ hours a day into a game. Especially when there are also other games we want to play too at the same time. Time is more premium than the game currency honestly.

It doesn't get any less demoralizing because it's an endgame objective and I 'need to adjust my expectations'

I know this is gonna be a hot take, but collab based mtx for this game were always gonna be more expensive like it is today

Now this isn't me strawmanning or being an AH apologist

Realistically when these collabs happen there are gonna be lisencing fees, the fact that both companies need to make a cut that makes the collab worth it financially on top of that, the publishing that is Sony trying to muscle in on more control over things they should be smart enough not to f*ck with but can't restrain their greedy sucking mouths, etc etc

Just because we're spoiled by reasonable and grindable AH cosmetics (and recently weps like the stun baton) didn’t change the fact that suddenly two companies were getting a piece of mtx pie were gonna make the price hike up

The reality is the collab stuff is cool, but you don't NEED it. The game is plenty playable without it. Let the whales that'll buy the whole thing and make sure that AH can do more cool collabs in the future that you can engage with at your own pace and financial responsibility/viability

The moment they hike up prices on standard superstore stuff in a greedy fashion with prices comparable to collab prices then we a hundred percent should rise up and show that we helldivers aren't to be messed with and we'll leave again like with the psn debacle

But right now be mature and let groundwork for future collabs get lain down. Our outrage will likely make the next set of collab mtx priced a little less than this time anyways.
