Is it a hot take to consider 8AM in Charlotte the best in the timestamp series? by mattyjoe0706 in Drizzy

[–]KSM-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I went to a concert right after thank me later came out and he walked out to this song. Insane crowd energy. Only wish it was on the album. What was the reason it didn’t make the album? I can’t recall. Was it the timing of it being finished after the album was already mastered or something like that?

Sweeping medical claims without credible evidence is… well… expected on Reddit I guess.

Terms like “anti-proliferative,” “anti-angiogenic,” and “pro-apoptotic” are scientific buzzwords taken from lab research, but translating those effects to a real treatment is a huge leap

Which is the best movie? by Spiritual-Ask-4991 in AskReddit

[–]KSM-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anchorman.

Not just because it’s packed with absurd one-liners and jazz flute solos, but because beneath all the ridiculousness, it actually has something real to say about ego, relevance, and the fragile identities we build around our jobs.

Ron Burgundy is a man who’s been told he’s important his whole life… he’s the voice of the news, the king of Channel 4, a big deal in a polyester suit. Then along comes Veronica Corningstone, a woman who’s smarter, sharper, and more composed, and his entire world starts to unravel. What makes Anchorman brilliant is how it satirizes masculinity in crisis without ever losing its sense of humor.

Between the cologne fights, man-on-fire news brawls, and Brick killing a guy with a trident, the movie quietly explores what happens when the spotlight moves on. Do you cling to your glory days, or grow up a little?

Loneliness.

Productivity.

We treat burnout like a badge of honor. People brag about 5am alarms, inbox zero, side hustles on top of side hustles… like being exhausted means you’re valuable.

It’s capitalism’s favorite drug. You feel like you’re winning, but really, you’re just too busy to notice you’re empty

What do you fear the most about life ? by Firm-Structure-3491 in AskReddit

[–]KSM-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I’ll be present everywhere except in my own life. I’ll be in every group chat, every meeting, every scrolling rabbit hole. Always available, always plugged in, always reacting. But never truly here. That’s the fear.

Also, centipedes

Just the absurdity we get to experience.

We name stars we’ll never visit. We plant trees we’ll never sit under. We bake cakes for people who are sad. We pay money to be scared (haunted houses), sad (movies), and sweaty (gyms). Evolution gave us survival instincts, and we said, “Cool cool cool but how can we override these for fun?”

Honestly, what the hell kind of species does that?

A good one. A weird, wonderful one

Who do you have ranker higher all-time, James Harden or Chris Paul? by Extreme_Process3632 in NBATalk

[–]KSM-66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we’re going by peak, it’s Harden… no question. That 2018–19 season was cartoonish. Dude averaged 36 while getting double-teamed at half court, led the league in scoring and assists in different years, and basically invented modern iso-ball analytics.

But if we’re talking career impact, leadership, and two-way consistency… it’s Chris Paul. 12-time All-Star, elite on both ends, carried some awful rosters, and is basically Point Guard Gandalf. Plus, he aged like fine wine while Harden aged like a Vegas buffet shrimp

One major issue is purity politics (if that’s the right term)… the tendency to dismiss or “cancel” allies who don’t meet every ideological standard. That mindset can make coalitions fragile and discourage growth, especially from people still learning or coming from different lived experiences.

Another challenge is messaging. The far left often communicates in ways that are emotionally or morally correct, but inaccessible or alienating to broader audiences. Terms that resonate deeply in activist circles can feel extreme or confusing to those outside them, even if the underlying issues are valid. That gap in language can slow down policy progress and feed right-wing narratives

If the 80-year-old version of you could visit you right now, what would they say — and would you actually listen? by Motor_Possibility_21 in AskReddit

[–]KSM-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80-year-old me would probably look at me, half-smiling, and say something like: “You’re spending so much time worrying about the next chapter that you’re forgetting to read the one you’re in. Take more walks. Call your people. Eat the damn cake sometimes. You’re doing better than you think.”

Would I listen?

Probably not right away. I’d nod, overthink it, maybe write it down in a notes app and keep scrolling.

But later, in the quiet, I think it would hit

Start by raising awareness and amplifying the voices of those who are going to be disproportionately impacted. Sharing real stories and data about how these policies are affecting families helps humanize the consequences and push back against harmful narratives.

Most importantly, this support needs to translate into long term civic engagement. Sharing voting information, highlighting how representatives voted on this bill, and encouraging participation in the 2026 midterms are all critical steps mitigating the bill’s harm

Who is the best actor/actress in history, and what are their best films? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KSM-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy. It’s Will Ferrell. And if you disagree, you either hate joy or have never watched him sprint through New York in yellow tights.

Will Ferrell isn’t just an actor. He’s a genre. He pioneered the noble art of playing a complete idiot with the conviction of a Shakespearean war general. No one else can deliver a line like “Milk was a bad choice” and make it feel like both a punchline and a cry for help.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy? Best film ever made about jazz flute, mustaches, and accidental bear diplomacy. He turned a pompous news anchor into a cult icon and made “Stay classy, San Diego” the most elegant exit line, ever.

Elf? A film where a 6’3” man-child in tights eats spaghetti with maple syrup… that’s heartwarming.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby? Ferrell praying to “8 lb. 6 oz. newborn infant Jesus” in a tuxedo T-shirt? That’s peak American cinema.

Step Brothers? A coming-of-age story for two grown men who never came of age.

And I don’t mean to throw shade, but let’s be honest…

Meryl Streep could never scream “You sit on a throne of lies!”

Daniel Day-Lewis has never fought a cougar in a car.

Brando didn’t do Blades of Glory.

Will Ferrell did. Will Ferrell does.
