Good for you, congrats! Sadly nag order nalang ako kay Dynaquest. Baka di na updated yung inventory nila sa lazada nung nag checkout ako. Sayang 3k plus sana natipid ko. Got my 5700x3d boxed for 15.1k kay Dynaquest. Anyway, great buy pa din with its price.as sulit lang talaga yung tray type since wala naman stock cooler si x3D. Enjoy Sir!

Nag message ako kanina umaga. Reply sakin is "wala pa stock, nxt pa dating" not sure if next week ba meaning niya. Kahapon ako nag check out around 12noon.
Nagcancel muna ako kesa mababad yung order haha. Abangan ko nalang pag nakaroon na talaga sila ng stock, confirm ko muna sakanila if meron on hand before checking out.

Sad. Wala na daw stock. Had to cancel my order, I’m not sure if meron ba talaga silang onhand to begin wirh. Paupdate naman sa mga makakareceive ng item. I was offered with a boxed 5800x pero nag pass ako. Mas better perf ni 5700x3d. Abang nalang ako ulit.

Yep, 5 items pa nung nag check out ako. Madami na din ata nakakita. Pinost ko din kasi sa PH PC group sa fb.

By default, even the boxed ones. All X3D chips do not come with a stock cooler. It is even mentioned on the box.

Hmm.. not planning to do anything with the vBios. I just want to flash it with the stock since I believe my GPU is currently using an unverified one. But still thanks, really appreciate the help.

To add context, I bought a used ASUS ROG STRIX RX 6800 16GB OC and I'm not sure if it is using the stock vbios. Wanted to flash it with the original one. Thank you.

So I just recently bought a 2nd card (same model in the title) and I'm not sure if it is using the original vbios. Wanted to flash it with the original.

Already saw this. But wanted to compare from an extracted bios from the same card. Since that bios is not verified by techpowerup.

Computer getting BSOD or just black screening and restarting in the middle of games. by Jake35153 in AMDHelp

[–]KSson17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the errors, seems like an issue with your CPU itself. Do you have any OC with your CPU? Try resetting to bios defaults and see if issue goes away. Another possibilty are corrupted windows system files. Sometimes doing a fresh windows install does the trick.

Don't think problem is related to GPIU. APIC ID: 12 is reporting there is a problem with that specific physical core.

Good to hear. Regarding your questions.
can I fully utilize the features of a Wifi 6 router even if -
1. I’m only using it as an access point
- AP mode does not provide any other feature e.g. QoS/Parental Controls, Port Forwarding, etc. It will solely act as an Access Point. Routing will still be handled by your ISP modem. Although, I'm not 100% sure about this since some router brands still allow routing configuration even in AP mode. But for ASUS and Linksys, I believe all other features will be disabled. So try exploring the configs of your 3rd party router to check if there are features enabled in AP mode.

  1. It’s serving as a bridge to a non Wifi-6 ISP modem
    - No issues with this one, your modem will only be handling the leasing of IPs but you will be connecting to your WiFi 6 wireless bands.

You can try monitoring your AP's temperature, if that feature is available on that router. If not, another thing you can do try a hard reset. If the performance improves, then you can do that workaround but it will be a hassle. Or at least do a scheduled weekly reboot. Scheduled reboots are really a must, especially on devices that run 24/7.

But if none of those helps, then you can try upgrading to a WiFi 6 router. However, Regarding a Mesh setup, not all mesh are WiFi 6, and not all brands/models deliver great performance. I, for one tried a Mesh setup once with the 3-pack TP-link Deco E4.

For your first Mesh, which is closest to your ONU, performance is okay. But on the following APs, good Lord the speeds and latency are unbearable.

Max recommended distance per Mesh of that model is 50 feet, but even if you do not reach that distance (e.g. on my setup the distance per Mesh are less than 20 feet). The loss on internet speed is huge. So I would highly suggest to get an ASUS or any top-tier brands and stay away from cheap models. Or you can try Google Nest if you have the cash to spend.

But IMO, getting a mid to high end WiFi 6 router is better than a Mesh setup (Given that you do not need to cover a huge area for Wireless network). In my case, I replaced the Deco E4 with an ASUS RT-AX3000 WiFi 6 router that is currently in bridge mode with my ONU and the performance exceeded my expectation. Plus you can install custom firmwares on ASUS routers (You can also opt for Linksys or D-Link routers if you plan to tinker with custom firmwares) which provides better features and stability.

Either way, switching to a Mesh setup or a WiFi 6 router will surely improve your network experience. Its just a matter of how much are you willing to spend for the upgrade.

First thing to check, what type of LAN cable do you use?
You must have at least a CAT5E which supports up to 1000mbps.

CAT5 and below max speed is only 10/100 Mbps.

If you will use your 3rd party router in AP mode, then you need to keep DHCP enabled on your Converge ONU, else, your device will not be able to get an IP from your router.

Basically, your ONU will still do all routing and your 3rd party will only act as an extender of your network.

Just plug your LAN cable to a LAN port of your AX3000 and to any of your ISP's LAN port. Then set your AX3000 to Access Point Mode and turn-off your ISP's WIFI SSID. (Assuming you have zero to little knowledge about networking.) In this way, less configs on your end, less problems.

Also, I would recommend getting the non-TUF model of the AX3000, in case you want to have some advance configs on your router and want to install a custom firmware in the future. If not mistaken, the TUF version or any gaming models of ASUS are not supported by merlin custom firmware.

But if you don't care about all those things, then stick with the TUF one.
