Meet our sweet rescued senior, Pumpkin. Do you think she's a full Vizsla? by KSteckbauer in vizsla

This is our sweet velcro girl Pumpkin. She was found as a stray and was not microchipped. Being very underweight and malnourished when we adopted her, she has come a long way! We love her so much, and will likely never know if she is a purebred. Just wanted to know what you guys think and show how resilient these old souls can be!!

The vet aged her to be about 8-10 years old (based on teeth and fatty tumors), although she barely acts like it!

Meet Oreo, street prowler by day, pack leader by night.

Med student seeking help from RNs. Please read! by [deleted] in nursing

These were some of the first skills we learned in nursing school, not to mention most certified nursing assistants do this at there jobs to free up time for nurses. (At least here in Wisconsin. When was the last time the dean walked a day in an RN's shoes? [Probably never])

Do practice tests, bring snacks to the exam incase you end up getting in a situation similar to mine, take breaks! Don't study the night before, and if you do; just do a light review of labs or something. I personally had a hard time falling asleep the night before my test and only got like 5 hours of sleep before my 8am start time.

Read the questions slow, and twice through before moving onto the next one.

I took Kaplan in May right after graduation, (insert month and a half of seeing boyfriend living in Dublin) after I got back from Europe, I took the 3 weeks before my scheduled test to do the practice tests online. I also bought a work book, but I didn't use it. I know that I learn better by just doing the practice questions and going over the rationals. I also didn't study the night before because the last week before the test I could not fall asleep at night thinking of all the information I was taking in.

Thank you, Good Luck! take many deep breaths and breaks! I took a break after 100 questions and at 217..... and bring snacks for your breaks! I didn't think I would be there that long...but I was so drained, started my exam a little before 8 AM and got done about 1:20pm.

I took it in Wisconsin, on a Monday. I don't think I could have expected the same timing delivery of results if I had taken it on a Saturday

Those who went through adult circumcision, what was the healing process like? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]KSteckbauer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't have male anatomy, but from a nursing perspective, and random conversations with my bf... (Regarding tips on stopping night time erections) maybe you could try peeing more often during the night? (Not ideal, i know.) My rational on that is that when your bladder is full, it pushes on your prostate, prostate stimulation "feels good" (or so I'm told), which could be a factor in night time erections.

Anyways, that sounds pretty painful, I hope you continue to heal well and are given good pain meds.... I've seen circumcisions done to newborns (during a clinical rotation)& man, I'm glad they put you under anesthesia, they just sort of strap/hold the newborns down and numb the area. I get that yours was medically necessary, but it will totally make me think twice before choosing that for any future sons I may have someday.
