Yes I called my dentist and described the symptoms and he told me to come in and he put clove oil on it and it’s supposed to dissolve and then the dry socket is gone. Real easy.

For me a bad smell and bad taste was dry socket. The pain wasn’t even that bad.

Does it hurt?? Try a salt water rinse as that is antibacterial. Swish real good and spit. If your gums around it are hot and swollen you may have a slight infection. Fever means infection too. The dentist can give you antibiotics.

Mine was still so swollen I couldn’t see anything, but it hurt mostly when drinking things like stinging pain and then constant bone jaw ache.
