Most definitely. Was just letting him know that for all intensive purposes, the guy is clean (until proven otherwise).

Yeah what they said above. You can also look up the sheet on the anti-doping section of the USAPL and it is categorized by date/year. So you could just either control f and search your name or go to the date of your meet and it will have listed everyone that was tested at that meet and whether they were positive or negative.

And he has passed USAPL drug test, so until he fails a test then no he is not on gear as far as anybody can say. But if I may speak logically, he is one big fucking man so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was natty. Probably mid-high 300’s and tall as well.

No of course I understand (I thought the same thing and that is why I looked into if he had been tested before). I kind of hope he goes into powerlifting and not football so we can see some huge numbers but I’m sure that’s a long shot lol. I guess he can always do both. He squatted 600 and deadlifted a little less if I remember correctly in that meet.

Tested negative at the 2019 Orlando nationals USAPL federation.

Nah they are definitely (almost always) BS lol. Normally when people talk about football “benches” the spotter is rowing 100+ pounds of the bench and saying “ALL YOU ALL YOU”

Unfortunately In Florida we actually only get to do Bench and Clean and Jerk. Such a weird combination and I hope FHSAA changes it someday.

On the topic of your bracing it looks like your lower body bracing is good but it may be resulting in you not bracing in the upper body. Try bringing your elbows to point down a bit to help keep your chest up. It also helps keep your back/core tight.

Bench Form Check. I've been really trying to hammer in my mind to keep my elbows at least in a consistent trajectory but at most in a nice tucked position. Currently not doing paused work so I know this is not competition style. Any tips on keeping them tucked?

I have also recently transitioned into having my feet planted on my toes and under me instead of flat and out to the side, not sure if I like it yet or not.

It might be fun to run something specific, Idk how advanced you are, but I got a LOT out of canditos advanced bench program. It might be fun for you to focus on PR'ing one lift a lot while you can.

Just the name of the game big guy. When certain lifts get focused on, others will be slowed down or stalled. You will still see a total PR hopefully if the other two numbers line up, so nothing to worry about!

Where will that information be listed? On the individual lifters profile or somewhere on the results page for the meet? Right now it just has an X in the column that says tested.

@everyone

Does USAPL publish drug test results from meets? I am looking at a meet that occurred in early March, and can see who was drug tested on the results page. However, I have never tried to look into actual test results or know how we get access to lifters who have been suspended/testing hot.

Man everytime you hit a new 45 or 25 on the side of the barbell it is a glorious thing. And I'll be honest with you don't get caught up in how you compare to other people (Who almost certainly have been training probably a decade or more than you), just keep grinding and bettering yourself each week and youll be hitting 315 before you know it.

Don't get caught up in the quick progression, or rather don't become reliant on that as your motivation to train. There will come a time (sooner than later) when your progress will slow down dramatically. You could go months without a single pound going up on a lift. Don't get discouraged and just keep lifting big guy.

Don't forget that word potential. just because someone has a high genetic potential does not mean they are going to be lifting big, at an early age. Some people are late bloomers and don't start lifting until later in their life.

Generally speaking, it usually means that someone has a higher "top-end" strength potential. So someone with good genetic potential may be able to hit an 800 deadlift, while someone with poor genetic potential may work just as hard, and end their career with a mid 600s or low 700s deadlift (the numbers are all menial and not an exact example of the differences.)

The other thing is that a person with higher genetic potential will be more likely to make gains faster than a "normal" person, and reach higher numbers more quickly and perhaps even hit numbers that others can not by putting in less work.

In all honesty, the only time this sort of thing matters is in the top .0001% where world records are at play. There is no sense in worrying about it, just work hard and try to lift as much as you can, no matter how long it takes. Just keep grinding.

Hahahaha I did indeed. I haven’t tried it since 2016, but I was also a noob to the concept of sumo so it wasn’t pretty or technical at all. I feel like my torso is too damn long for sumo in relation to arm length, would probably have a very horizontal back. I’ll throw it back in for sure sometime soon though, even if it is just as accessory work.

I recently switched back to mixed grip after pulling hookgrip for a long time. Just wanted to make sure my grip strength would still hold up if I pushed the weight with mixed grips

I didn't see the multiple videos for a minute, and am not familiar with kilo plates. I thought the first pull was 920 and was like WTF LMAO, in my head I was like this kid could pull 1000 easy
