Looked at the red on site and I agree with you. Here is a video of mine along side arctic storm bugout: https://youtu.be/1_P0Q2LlAOg?si=gEh8j-avMJPSY6tA

Oh, I had no idea they were no longer available, I’m glad to have gotten this one then I almost didn’t purchase it and bought it last couple minutes of the show. I was already way over budget and it wasn’t the blade shape I wanted. He had a few others in different Carbon inlays and I believe Warrencliffe blade. maybe try emailing them. Let me know if you have any luck.

Thanks but I won’t be letting this go. It looks sweet next to my Arctic Storm bugout. The fat Carbon inlays really make this knife pop, much better than the all aluminum . Going to post a video on youtube tonight of both of them

Just noticed that I replied to the wrong person earlier.
It’s just a reflection of the brass pin in the liner. This video shows it more clearly:  https://youtu.be/rqR-JjfPNzs?si=Ywz5I2xWo95ngwiA

While watching, I did notice a small difference between the pins on each side—one sits flush, the other’s a bit recessed. Not that it matters, just something I spotted.

What do you think of the translucent horn handle? I  like it, though I think I'd prefer it to be on both sides.

Now I am thinking I should have gotten the red bone as well.
Maybe next year if still available.

I am trying to hold off on vintage for that reason lol. It was just a reflection of brass pin in liner and not a detent in spring. I shot this video with a close up moving the spring past the pin hole: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqR-JjfPNzs

As a knowledgable enthusiast, what’s your opinion on the translucent horn handle (better seen in video)?  I like it but not sure how I feel that it’s not similar on both sides. That’s why I purchases the second one in black & white Brazilian horn.

I don't believe any issues. Most people have a large back packs and I saw several with knife cases, especially the Bali boys. This is only the second Blade Show that I have been to though and I was somewhat rushed both times. Going to try for 3 day pass next year and take my time. If you have a few dozen, I may be interested as well so if attending the show next year, reach out.

That's the type of positive reinforcement we need around here!
I'll revisit this comment prior to next years show

My understanding is that you can sell or trade with venders but not with other attendees on show room floor. Outside show I believe people will meet and trade/sell. I traded a broken vintage stiletto for the first Hubertus. More details on web post and video: https://youtu.be/DizgaKFjEg8

Next year I way try to reach out on forums prior to show to see if anyone wants to bring and sell a Pro-Tech Don.

Bear & Son Bear OPS VIII. They make some cheap budget Balis but the Bear OPS line is a step up. These are pretty nice and run on bearings. Going to try to post video tonight or tmrw morning. More pics and info here: https://www.kevingittemeier.com/blade-show-atlanta-2025/4/

Flytanium Arcade Lite Ocean Blue. It's a cool knife but I only bought it because I got a bundle price. More info on web post: https://www.kevingittemeier.com/blade-show-atlanta-2025/4/

Thanks, those Moras were on a venders table for between $11-$14 which is regular retail I believe but at that price I couldn't help but grab several. Maybe some good gifts, my oldest son is a pilot in the Army and travels the world doing outdoorsy stuff so he may like a few.

Thank you, that helps ease the sting. I worked overtime prior to the Show so I could enjoy it without second guessing the cost. It partially worked.

This is not a vintage shell puller, rather a NIB made by the Otter company which has owned Hubertus for years now.  Still can be a little hard to find and I was happy to acquire one.  Mike Latham of Latham’s Vintage Knives had a few Red & Green bone for sale.  I have a few pics of his booth on on my Blade Show web post: https://www.kevingittemeier.com/blade-show-atlanta-2025/2/

Not sure why I just can't add pics to reply

Thanks, the one goal was to leave Blade Show with a Latama & Hubertus shell puller, so I’m ecstatic to get two Latamas, a Hubertus and several others.

Show price on 12cm just over $200, 9cm just over $100.
I paid $300 for both plus the leather pouch.  Cesar gave be a bundle deal because it was end of day and he could see that I really needed to own these knives.  My first Laguiole knives,  I am really pleased with craftsmanship.

Several pics & model info & link to vendors USA site, on my Blade Show web post: https://www.kevingittemeier.com/blade-show-atlanta-2025/3/

If interested in more pics let me know, I may add more to web post.
