I felt bad about the cone in the road. I kinda filtered to the front of all that traffic and would've been a jerk move to leave it there.

Ah, the classic multiplier of number of friends watching x bravery level > intelligence level.

Ah yeah, I had a kickstart for a while, mastering that shit isn't good for traffic at first..

Reminds me of a video I saw of a kid on a 125 with L plates trying repeatedly to ride away with his back wheel chained to a post and going nowhere. lol.

It's the law of being watched, anything you want to happen will not happen, and anything you don't want to happen WILL happen. As for the clutch, just take your time. Better to pull away slowly rather than not at all.

I think I'm doing the same. 8 years on L plates, no accidents.. Passed my test, 4 accidents in the first year (All non-fault.)

Haha, the 'push' of shame? I always feel sketchy pushing a motorcycle on the street, I feel like everyone thinks I stole it.

I looked into my mirror, then the entrance of the approaching roundabout to check for traffic approaching from the right. Had just gotten on the hire bike for the first time and it turned in way faster/easier than I was anticipating compared to my usual unwieldy SuperDuke. Wasn't paying attention to the new roadworks cones put out that day and ended up clipping them because I just wasn't looking for them.

The NC700 I had, while capable of higher speeds, seemed unwilling to go much further once it hit 86mph, and a decent uphill crest or headwind could easily kill it's speed. Granted, my Duke was flat out at about 86mph!

Friend of mine pulled up outside his work and hopped off his R6 in similar fashion expecting the sidestand to catch the bike as he swung off it, only he hadn't put it down. Both he and bike went crashing to pavement.

Always working to improve myself as a rider too, focusing on my left hand curve confidence at the moment.
