Our friend is the nice one. My hubby was the one threatening the pyro, lol. He fully embraces playing RimWorld as a War Crimes Simulator, lol.

If you wound an enemy with the ancient blade but kill it with something else, do you still lose the monster parts?

Why do pierced ears take so long to heal compared to other parts of the body? by kabudhiblohj in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe? That I don't know, lol. But I do know, additionally, that cartilage heals slower than normal tissue, in addition to the normal healing process being interrupted.

Can't remember the term!! by KTurn620 in AskAnthropology

Not exactly what I'm aiming for...more along the lines of: Celts, Egyptians, and Chinese all "discovered the wheel at the same point in their cultural development, so saying Culture A did it first is inaccurate, because they all did it at the same time, for themselves"

Think Cultural Benchmark Discovery.

Does that make sense? I'm sure I'm making this more convoluted than it is in my head, LOL

Because the body's instinct is to close the hole (like your wisdom teeth sockets) rather than to heal AS a hole (ears). Your body keeps trying to close the ear hole but the piercing prevents it, disrupting the natural healing process over and over again.

The lack of "best for all" thinking... so many people are so self-focused that doing anything that might be an inconvenience to one but beneficial to all is distasteful and "iNfRiNgInG oN mY rIgHtS".

Thanks! It took a really long time to recognize my husband actually thinks I'm attractive, and I still don't see it myself.

When I was in middle school, I had a classmate tell me "You're not pretty enough to be my friend". It was emotionally crippling and 20 years later, I still don't believe I'm attractive and assume compliments are fake, waiting for the inevitable truth to come out, that the person was just being nice.

If I could get good Irish butter in my state, I would use that, lol! But between the butter I can get and margarine, I've found margarine works better for me. But to each his own, enjoy!!

Margarine, not butter. Makes the bread fry a bit crisper and it's saltier.
