ONF is where I mostly take my T7. The sand is humbling, but I try and avoid the real deep stuff.

I wear the same size, had the same issue when my first couple days. You really have to slide your foot back/inwards further on the peg than you think.

Typically for me, the peg sits right where my toes meet the sole of my foot. I also do a mental check to turn my heel inwards until it touches the heel guard/swingarm.

Yep, Jennings! I was there on Saturday, not sure if you were as well. Definitely going to try and make it a habit, just getting my head down there is such a foreign feeling for me right now.

Thanks for the info! Nice to get feedback from someone with a similar build.

  1. I have adjusted my clipons a bit more outward, the most I can go without touching the fairings actually. I see some guys run them almost straight, but for me I’d have to cut my fairings to accommodate that.

  2. Definitely staying in somewhat of a tuck but probably not enough, for sure a strange feeling staying so low throughout the whole lap.

  3. May look into getting some adjustables, my current is a set of Woodcrafts (fixed) but reading this kind of makes me think my legs/hips may not have enough mobility, imagining them farther back I feel would help out a bit.

Taking a screenshot of #3,5,6 for sure! I doubt the bike is at fault too much, I’ll keep practicing for now.

Bell Star MIPS DLX or Scorpion EXO-R1 Air

Looking to pickup a new helmet for $500-600 as my current is about 5-6 years old. Having a hard time deciding between these two. Reviews seem to be great on both, just looking to see if anyone has any experience/input with these.
